Very basic question here, but when you're looking up how to pronounce a word on jisho, is there an immediate way to tell when つ is actually pronounced and when it's an additional consonant?
I'm not sure if I exactly get what you mean, but I think you mean the distinction between つ and っ? If that's the case look at the size of the character.
Yea that's what I meant. I just find that small tsu is hard to distinguish sometimes and I'm not sure if should be reading something as Akko or Atsuko.
