What is your opinion on Hong Kong inevitably being eaten by China in a few years? Personally I look forward to the westies tears
What is your opinion on Hong Kong inevitably being eaten by China in a few years...
Watched some vox videos on it recently. It's funny watching western media push back on anything that benefits china every step of the way in their development.
Fuck off Chang.
if it means cantonese move here instead of m*ndrins I'm ok with it
It sucks considering I really like Hong Kong. All I do predict that we'll see more diaspora from Hong Kong in the future.
If mainlanders are heading into HK and HKers are leaving then maybe it'll act as a filter that transforms Chinese into decent people. Could be a good source of brain drain for the west
...
one of my favorite movies is Chungkng Express, and it makes me sad that the mainland will devour any culture that is left in the city.
Taiwan is our last hope for any decent cultural output from the chinese
On the one hand some nostalgic sadness but on the other hand idc.
Hong Kong has died in the late 90s anyways.
I will remember Hong Kong from the 80s and 90s movies and TV drama series.
why do people still care about hong kong in 2018????? I would care maybe if 1994
HK Culture is already dead, cinema is gone and now it's just a husk of its former self
Being swallowed by china won't change anything since china has been chewing it for decades
It's a depressing loss and china is worse off having broken it down for spare parts
I look forward to chinks getting kicked back to China. Enjoy fighting over food and resources with your 1 billion insect brothers.
Never going to happen.
why are you freaks so hungry for war and despair?
Stfu bitch

>West powers: Russia you have to respect Ukraine territorial integrity
>Also west powers: Of course we support independentist movements in Hong Kong
Western hypocrisy is sickening.
2047 can’t come sooner.
>West powers: Russia your dictators regime is a spit in the face of democracy
>Also western powers: Let Crimeans decide which country they want to be a part of democratically? Umm I don't think so.
>Also west powers: Of course we support independentist movements in Hong Kong
???
The only time the West flings shit at China over Hong Kong nowadays is when China encroaches on the autonomy the 1997 agreement is supposed to provide.
The best comparison for Russia/Crimea hypocrisy is the Western stance on Kosovo.
Whitoids are genetic predisposed to be hypocrites, all of them.
The UK literally gave Hong Kong back to China.

Independent movements in Hong Kong on the news nowadays is a Chinese-government-sponsored falseflag to let the government outlaw those movements and enforce "security" measures before any actual movement with wide support can be established.
The effect of that is, when the government say freedom of speech do not protect pro-independent speech, and when the government say we are outlawing political parties that want to pursue independent movements, the general pro-democracy camp cannot say they disagree with it in order to avoid being seen as radical by voters.
>Cannot say they disagree with [...]
I mean they have issue condemnation but no major actions to protest the move other than mere verbal condemnation
