Living in Paris I have to deal with them daily, always asking for directions even tho they have maps and smartphones. I always tell them to take the wrong RER C when they want to visit Versailles. When I was in Paris, I got told off by a taxi driver for not learning the language before visiting the country. A restaurant messed up an order, and the owner came out and blamed me. Every store I went into, I was met with an attitude like I was an asshole for even thinking about spending my money there. I can't speak for all of france, in all fairness, but Paris is a shithole full of terrible people.

French people are lovely. I was hiking in the Alps once, and met a French couple who invited me to eat lunch with them. They spoke decent English and were very outgoing and nice to me.
