Quebec

Los Estados Unidos de América, happy?

>B-but they have no cullchair!!!
>*says as he wears American-style clothing, listens to American music and watches American movies*

>latinxs
*snap*
Yep...

Its hard. So many great countries I have to narrow it down

Not Costa Rica or Panama because they are bros
Not Mexcio because even though Mexican poster have been shit recently, its a good country with mostly good people and good culture, Virgin of Guadalupe too
Not Guatemala because it has awesome Maya culture
Not Peru or Bolivia because it has awseome Inca culture and Lamas and Amerindian run.
Not Ecuador because the guy did the 9-11 song
Not Chile because they are #1 in copper production and muh HDI

Oh wait its Uruguay definitely Uruguay. lol can't believe I even tried to narrow it down when Uruguay was sitting right there holy crap hahaha

all regions of brazil with internet access

Probably puerto ricans because I fucking hate how reageaton dominates all music. I miss the mexican and argie rock bands of the 90s.

Haven't though about it
But fuck yes has to be Puerto Rico then

How is the USA Latin American?

Second largest Spanish speaking population in the world ;)

Nicaragua by far

>implying Chicanos speak Spanish very well

CHI

>mexican rock

This

I live in LA, and most of the Spanish I hear from people our age (18-35 year olds) is half Spanish/half English. Their parents are a different story, but the kids mostly speak English using some Spanish words.

It isn't exactly the language of Don Quixote

LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS

the fault is your educational system's alone

south africa

>the fault is your educational system's alone

Yeah, its funny. Most people complain about Anglos not being able to learn another language, but the grasp on English itself is tenable itself. Never mind common grammatical errors, but not knowing the difference between "there, their, they're" or "you're, your", shit that a 5 year old can pick up.

It's disgusting.

I think Chicanos can speak Spanish fine. I work in the legal field, and I've never seen a 2nd generation Hispanic write a formal letter in Spanish. It's literally English then google translated.

Not that I think the clients would read formal Spanish anyways, but I think it would be a nice touch to make it look more official.

Cafe tacvba, molotov, and mana were pretty good dude

Cafe Tacvba used to be good, but they never actually played rock. Molotov had two nice albums, Maná was never good.

Perú will try their best!

I think 1/3 of American-born Latinos can speak Spanish, 2/3 cannot. I'm 1/2 CHI and cannot speak for shit.
Its kinda sad because I wish I could, my mom (who was born in USA but can still speak it) tried to teach me a few times growing up and I didn't like it, I would get bored and go to the computer instead.

LOS

Cafe tacvba unironically predated the indie rock explosion of the early 2000s, they were ahead of their time. And mana was still good when they basically sounded like The Police. Better than Zoe at least for me.

>mana was still good when they basically sounded like The Police

Duolingo and practice will help. Depending on where you live, there might be some Spanish radio stations you can listen in and try to follow along.

I can read it pretty well, speaking I could use work. Most non-Chicanos are pretty receptive if you try to practice with them. Chicanos make fun of you for trying in my experience

>No one ever mentions Caifanes when talking about mexican rock
looks like only me and my boomer parents likes them.

Café might have been rock in the attitude or social circle, but they never made proper rock, this is basically a norteña

colombia

>And mana was still good when they basically sounded like The Police.
fucking guatemala
At least you didnt bring el tri.

I hate you

i was going to mention Caifanes and El Tri
there's others like Maldita Vecindad and La Lupita, they're 90score, PxNDx and Zoe are more 00s

rare

Is reggaeton more degenerate then American rap or less?

And is it anything like cumbia?

Mega Rare btw

Rare-ish

>cuba
>about to fully recognize private property
lmao

>forgetting the GOAT, the one and only

Cuba
Because we can’t trade with them

Why are Chicanos so defensive about speaking Spanish as a non-Spanish speaker?

R A R E
A

HERMANO

Sino was like 50% synth rock though, even if it came out later.

Listen to "The beds too big without you" and tell me mana did not copy that. Not that there is anything wrong with that!

why would you like to know Spanish tho?
i mean it's not poetic like italian/french
it's not historic/intellectual like german
there is no funtionality behind it like Japanese or English
what's the fucking point? it doesn't even come with bragging rights

>forgetting
i didn't even know it, sorry
thanks for the recommendation

hmmmm it's more degenerate than classic urban rap but on same level as twerk music
cumbia is different even among countries, there's villera (argentinian), caribbean, peruvian psychodelic cumbia, mexican, etc.

Sup Cuba. Do you watch anime?

Attached: 1472424084333.jpg (620x790, 85K)

there's no good reggaeton song, not one, because it's not made to listen to, and cumbia is a whole different animal

>Is reggaeton more degenerate then American rap?
Yes. Absolutely, is this even a question?

its the same fucking bullshit.

mana is pure shit, novela tier """music"""

Colombians ruin my online video games so them

cumbia is fucking awesome
literally the only thing i like about this "culture"

It is absolutely the worst. Cumbia is repetitive, but it has charm and history and you can use it as "flavour" for other music.

I don't even know what reggaeton is. I know what reggae is. I assume there's a connection?

Me personally - work. I live in LA and it helps me get new business to know spanish.

Plus I’m Flip, so it’s not that big of a jump anyways. A lot of the vocabulary is understandable from the get go so might as well take the effort to talk to more people

Yes Inori is my waifu >D

Attached: Yuzuriha_inori_by_mtrizkit-d51dv11.png (1600x2095, 646K)

Its more degenrate but it sounds good anyway. If u ask people they will say its bad but there's a reason why it's so populart and its because people like it.

Well yeah I agree to a certain extent, but it is better than reaggeaton at least

Nice taste

What about you friend

Attached: image_4.jpg (900x1268, 826K)

Tego was the only good reggaetonero

youtube.com/watch?v=_an3IDH72hA

The only good reaggeaton was "El Gato Volador"

I have the best of tastes my friend, thanks for asking.

Cuentos de la cripta counts as reggaeton?

Attached: 1450153503095.gif (389x400, 283K)

I personally see don't a connection between Reggae and Reggaet*n, other than Reggaeton is a variant of Reggae. The few Reggae songs that I listened don't sound anything like Reggaeton, Reggae is calmer and you can understand a word that's being said, this is not the case with Reggaeton.

Also, this is one of the most popular reggaeton songs of last year.
youtu.be/aDCcLQto5BM

It sounds fucking horrible.

Indeed
youtu.be/KriTzFEPgZI

CHI

to be honest even El General counts as (proto) reggaeton
youtube.com/watch?v=r_BHyGCzyMg

>i was born in le wrong generation
*sip*

Proto reggaeton is alright then
youtube.com/watch?v=FQiFm7cpZes

the USA fuck that shithole

>jewish media is america culture

wait, it is

ive come to prove you wrong
youtube.com/watch?v=6nl5U0O5nOU

>I personally see don't a connection between Reggae and Reggaet*n
well here's the story
Reggae is the name of the party they play songs at. jamaican bands were declared to play in that style, but even dub reggae can be improvised at a party with a dj
so where it all started at, Dominican Republic, they would play songs and rap at them and call it ReggaeTON, because it was a massive party anthem
to be honest there's little difference (stylistically speaking) between hip hop and reggaeton. ah but the dancing....

that's champeta amigos

Yeah I went full latin boomer there. I miss Los Enanitos Verdes and Fabulosos Cadillacs and Los Amigos Invisibles too.

Venezuela or Brazil.

Why do so many people hate Venezuela? I know Maduro sucks but beyond that what's the problem with them?

Also I used to see posters from there occasionally (at least one, anyway) but I don't think I have in a while. Hope that sudaca fag is alright.

>I know Maduro sucks but beyond that what's the problem with them?
that's the entirety of the problem (well Chavez started it, but he's dead)
>Hope that sudaca fag is alright
they're dead, Dave

Attached: images.jpg (620x330, 30K)

Wasn't the country doing well under Chavez though?
