Me [22HLM], her [20LLF] . Together for three years. I am moving away in two days since we just finished college. I broke up with her last night.

Feeling lost and sad. I know it'll get better, and I know it needed to happen. It just... hurts to leave the person you love.

Like many of you, we used to fuck like rabbits. It has been 9 months last Saturday. Three weeks before that she said she wanted me to touch her "soon". She got upset when I asked about it a few times in the following weeks. Told me she'd come to me when she was ready. She's had (more than) 9 months to get ready. Of course my dumb ass got my hopes up. Of course nothing ever happened.

I took her on a date and got some nice dinner the night before last. It was happy and sweet. When we got back home, we got ready for bed and then kissed for a bit. I hoped it was going somewhere but knew it wasn't. I asked her if she would like to touch me (I usually ask 2-ish times a week, and she says yes 1-2 times a week. "Touching me" usually consists of her touching me for a minute or two and then her holding me while I do the rest of the work). She got quiet. A moment later she said not tonight. Fine.

Idk. I feel done with asking for some damn sexual contact. She claims to/seems to enjoy watching/holding me at the least, but she never initiates. Never any sexual contact towards her. Kissing never leads anywhere. Once we were cuddling and spontaneously touching began. She seemed to really enjoy herself. When she came, she retreated and starting to cry as if I had done something horrible to her.

Sorry, this isn't going anywhere, I'm just ranting.

We had talked about breaking up when we both left college since we didn't want to continue this situation into a LDR. But we decided we didn't want to break up. I told her that staying together meant working on things. She seemed to get it. For some reason I had hope. I hoped that this person who loves me so much would be willing to work to stay together.

She always says she's trying, but it seems like to her, trying is sitting there doing nothing about it. Maybe she thought she could will herself to want to have sex with me. Maybe she thought ignoring her problems for long enough would make them go away.

I guess this is all moot now. I'm (mostly) out. Things will get better. I'll miss her, but I won't miss this. Ugh. Dead bedrooms suck.
