It's safe for small payments because an attacker needs to spend more money just on trying to double spend it and there's a super low chance for it to be successful.

I hold BTC and ETH in basically equal proportions (more BTC than ETH initially, but ETH's growth has resulted in it catching up). Although a flippening would skyrocket my ETH stack's value, I feel like it would screw over my BTC stack's value, so I'm not sure what to hope for here.

0 conf doesn't work for contracts sorry brainlet. Every crypto has a 1 second broadcast and you can cancel that broadcast, especially if you have 10 minutes to do that. This isn't new...
