Not if you join the military
save money?
yeah
Semper Fi motherfucker
MUHREENS
OH NONONONONONO
Only people who are dumb pays for their college fund (unless they are rich).
You can join large corporations that pays for your college debt, or join the military that helps with your college tuition
Is it true that in America you have to pay to attend university? In Austria you get paid for attending university.
>serving jews to pay your education
USA USA USA
Yes, I would’ve had to pay $11,000 a year just for a bachelors at a decent school. Luckily through some financial loopholes I negated it all. Lmao at Middle class Americans though. Most students go into debt these days
Why is college in america so expensive? Are the teachers really that fucking costly?
It's so fucking stupid that you have to ask for a loan just to pursue a college education of a minimum respectable position.
Everything in America is expensive cuz of the jews and the fact that everyone in this country is lazy. For one thing, Canada's healthcare system runs 3 times more efficiently than that of ours
I lived in Canada and things were much slower than here. Really don't get those effeciency statistics
You should check the infrastructure of american universities and compare it to european universities. Most of your universities look like our big high schools. My university has like 5 gyms and 3 swimming pools.
That was paid a long time ago, your universities run on profits.
Ahhhh you need money to keep infrastructure going. My university is public and non profit. The state gives them only 25% of their budget. That's why they need tuition money.
Tuition money should be more than enough if americans have to take loans to pay them
>5 gyms and 3 swimming pools.
How does that help train you for your future job?
Well it's not. Want me to give you the budget of my university? They put everything online here.
Being fit is important in your academic life. They have a career center if you are interested in work or learn how to make a proper cv or cover letter
it's always funny on american tv shows
>TONY HOW COULD YOU BLOW YOUR SON'S COLLEGE FUND GAMBLIN'!!!??? WHAT KINDA FADDAH ARE YOU!!!
Mine had gyms and swimming pools too, a dock for the rowing team, a dozen of fields for different sports and a handful of climbing walls. Still it costed me 600€ a year (uni restaurant included)
University sports centers aren't even free, so you're paying to build something that already exists somewhere else and then paying again to use it.
>Being fit is important
It's not really, non manual workers were always weak and unfit through history
I mean you could just go to a gym, having a pool inside your college is really an overkill
Well like I said our universities don't get full funding like yours. That's obvious. I'm just explaining why it's so expensive.
Gys and pools are free in my uni.
Well I love swimming so it's good for me. They use it in other stuff tho like swimming lesson, and water sport teams and shit like that.
Community college cost me about $2000 a year
State college around $5000 a year, total $14k to get my degree.
I had some saved and worked while ins school.
Why do so many Americans act like their student debt is the end of world for them? With the way they are acting I thought it was something like $250k but $15k is nothing
You can go to a public gym or pool for at most a few hundred dollars a year. This hardly justifies paying thousands of extra dollars every year.
Some people think expensive schools will get them better jobs.
Also some people do not save money or work while in school, then they have debts.
The average debt is not that big. It's 30k. However the user you replied to got financial aid and also went to community college to save money . That's why he doesn't have alot of debt. My dad makes more than 150k so I don't get any financial aid. So I have to pay 16k a year. It's fine tho because he is gonna pay all of it.
I don't go to college for the gym and pool. It's just a cool extra. Also there is no public gym or closed pools here.
How do you work while in uni desu ? I had 40h of classes a week, and a shitton of things to study on the weekends.
How many crayons do you have to eat for that?
Not him but In america you can choose how many classes to take.
However as a full time engineering student, it's really harf to work and study at the same time. Other majors can do it tho.
So you join the military where you can get crippled for life so you can attempt to finish a college so you can increase your chances for getting some soul crushing office job?
I didn't have 40 hours of classes, I think it was 30 or so.
I just scheduled my work around classes.
Only about 2% of military jobs are combat arms, and if you don't want a "soul crushing job" maybe take classes for something you like.
Americans don't need to make higher education affordable, as they brain drain others countries.
But this can only go so far.

Are europeans this retarded. Your chance of getting into actual battle is so low now. America is not engaged in massive direct conflicts now. The war in Afghanistan is basically over.
Lol there are alot of americans and other immigrants that can replace returning Chinese or other east asians. The percentage of americans who go to universities is higher than most european countries even tho it's expensive.
I deal a lot with american engineers and you guys are really terrible at your jobs. What kind of curriculum do you have ?
My dad deals with french engineers and he says that you are very terrible at your jobs.
>now
But some generations did have to go through that, right? And some probably will again in the near future
We probably aren't that bad, nearly all our customers are american companies and major research labs.
Even in full war. Your chances of getting into battle is very low. And no I don't think we will engage directly in any big battles this next 10 years
You are too theoretical , talk alot and don't do alot at least according to my dad.
>It's fine tho because he is gonna pay all of it.
Can you really honestly say the high price tag is justified when you're essentially getting a free ride? It all costs $0 as far as you're concerned.
>You are too theoretical
Your dad probably thinks you can solve a problem without understanding it, it's typical from US engineers.
>Too theoretical
Sounds like your dad is a mechanic with the job title "engineer" to make him sound better.
My dad has phd in network engineering, by too theoretical he means that you get stuck in theory and don't move to application fast enough. He had to do alot of work that the french engineers didn't do at appropriate tike frames.
I've seen too many americans engineer trying and failing to apply dumbly a process written by their betters.
They never try to figure out what the problem is to begin with.
Proofs? Where do you work? American engineers in general are one of the most innovative engineers in the world.
In the most innovative research organization in the world, the CEA.
Proofs?
Also is this just a nuclear research center? Because we have pretty good nuclear research too.
Nuclear research, robotics, biology and nanotech. We are the ones behing Caltech and the MIT advances in neurobiology, and the new tech used by AMD to beat Intel in performances and manufacturing.
>ones behind
Lol, big claims. Proofs?
He is a smug frog. He mostly means work together with caltech and mit.
Proofs of what ? Does your dad also work at Nintendo ?
They kinda rely on us, since we got the tech for exploratory neuro.
