Question. I'm starting to learn Chinese. Will learning Japanese (the kanji) at the same time help tremendously?

there's 漢文 but nobody likes it and its filled with notations that tell you what to read first, how the grammar works, etc

英語が少しわかるようになってから思ったのは、日本はほんとに情報鎖国状態
例えば少しでも英語に慣れていればスタンドに積んである英字新聞の見出しや
ネットでパッと目にしただけの英単語が意味を伴って自然と頭に入ってくるようになる
そしてこれがけっこう大事な情報だったりする
でも大方の日本人はこれを素通りするだけ
