Optional privacy hasn't really been successfully proven to work yet since no cryptocurrencies out there have enough optionally private transactions taking place on their blockchain to make any kind of definitive conclusion about whether it works well enough to prevent blockchain analysis from breaking the privacy.
Optionally private cryptos will probably never replace Monero as the "best" privacy coin for this reason, but if they have a "good enough" level of privacy along with a bunch of other benefits, such as fast and cheap transactions, support throughout multiple crypto-fiat gateways due to being built on the well-understood bitcoin codebase, etc. then I think there will be a niche for coins like COLX. The fact that they're targeting grid computing is kind of a gimmick but it is one way to put the computational power of the PoS network to work.

I mean, not impossible but not likely. That would be an 80x in marketcap from where it is now which would put it near the top 20. Getting to something like PIVX marketcap at 300M is a more realistic goal, which would be an 11x from here or roughly 2 cents per COLX.

My most conservative estimate would be around 0.05 to 0.10 cents. If the market experiences a prolonged bullrun that raises to total capitalisation, 0.20 cents or highter could be doable. Verge reached more then .25 cents with nearly double the circulating supply.
It's all speculation ofcourse, so don't hold it against me if i'm wrong... but this genuinly seems like a potential winner. Just do your research. If you trust it, invest a little. If not, stay away. Never invest more you can lose tho.

If BTC hit $25k this yeah, that'd mean it only requires a rise in sats value for COLX of 32x. Which is still pretty lofty, but considering the tiny MC and the strides the devs are making, not unreasonable in the slightest.

Aeon is just another PoW currency coin that doesn't do anything once it's sitting in your wallet. This project is much more ambitious because they're taking a two pronged approach to giving the coin value by working on payment gateways at the same time as incentivizing holders to give the staking network value by contributing to grid computing that they can rent out to bidders. Protein folding, climate prediction, SETI... maybe even CPU mining for coins like Aeon and Monero, who knows?
