Why I Still Suck at Japanese After Living in Japan for 5 Years

In this episode why Japanese I consider Japanese to super super hard to learn for me. Thanks to Audible for sponsoring the video. I'm really happy to be able to recommend a service I've been using for years.

he looks filipino kek

Whats wrong with diversity

a friend of mine has been living in Japan for close to 3 years now and he still can't speak for it shit. he says he constantly skates by in english and a few sentences. makes me worry bout him, but its also baffling

diversity

I'm not going to watch the whole video, what does he mean when he says he sucks? Like "ermahgerd I'll never be an award-winning jp author waaah" or sth?

cute

I wonder if there are problems with how to study Recommend returning home

Joe Gomez-ish

But Aussie posters are very fluent at Japanese.their Japanese level is netive tier.

Bullshit. French is harder than Japanese. 6 months in and I can already read my own goddamned porn manga. Fuck scanlators.
On the downside now I have to read the stupid fucking shit they write in eromanga.
>says the guy from a language where its own speakers revolted and invented ranuki kotoba
>1000 hours
>study 5 hours a day finish within a year
>2200 years
>same pace less than 2 years
Dumb spic probably watches 5 hours of soap operas and rasslin a day.

>Aiko and Shin are half Canadian and half Japanese
I wonder....

I have lived in Japan for 3 years and I manage just fine 98% of the time working with Japanese fortune 500 companies and doing administration/management within the company, all in Japanese

But when things get a bit too hard I will make sure to shove this video into the face of my colleagues so they can see how hard it actually is

They probably offer Asian language courses earlier in Australia. In the city I live you have to go to some special magnet school to learn Japanese in middle school. Most regular high schools dont even offer Japanese. Its either sign language, Italian, German, French or Spanish.

Learn something like Spanish or French first, it will make it infinitely easier to learn another language after that. You can always follow the roots backwards, too.

Also, Chinese is way fucking easier than Japanese.

Why are not all studying Japanese instead of Chinese? The probability of using Chinese will be higher if we consider the number of Chinese in the whole world.

By that disrespectfur rogic, we must rearn Hindi.

I've noticed a couple of expat YouTube channels that get posted like this every so often. I assume it is paid shilling.

On the off chance that it's not, and you're shilling your own videos, then know this:
You will improve drastically if you post in Japanese on this board.

Japanese is unironcally not anywhere near as hard as these people make it sound desu

Japanese is an easy language.

The guy in the video has lived in japan for five years, has a native japanese wife and two kids.

He still can't speak about a 4th grade level, by his own estimation.

>6 months in and I can already read my own goddamned porn manga.
That ain't actually too difficult. Most porn talk ia really simple, naturalistic.

Wait until you read something where the author wanted it to feel like a novel or something. Every word, kanji and piece of grammar is super rare and archaic.

In fact porn is a good place to start for language learners and it should be recommended.
