Yes and no USA likes to pride it’s self on being the pinnacle of living standards while ignoring Places like Detroit and New Orleans which have third world murder rates.
But with that being said most middle eastern countries don’t keep crime statistics so there is nothing to base it off
What do you mean? It hasn't been a warzone for years and even then the conflict was just in the north My friend was there as a peacekeeper in 2010-2011 and nothing happened and it's even more stable now.

Not sure if serious >WARNING: Visiting Afghanistan can be extremely dangerous, as the country is technically a war zone. The Government maintains little control over large parts of the country. Terrorism is a huge problem, with Government forces fighting against Taliban insurgents. If you intend on visiting anyway, please see War zone safety and the "Stay safe" section below
I could link a thousand websites, Afghanistan is inarguably one of the worlds most notorious hellholes and probably the worst place on earth for women to live. To compare a hyperviolent, landmine riddled, female genital mutilating land of insurgency, vigilantism and jihad to New Orleans is laughable.
Michael Morris
Welp that's the drug war for you.
Luke Brown
Not much, it has a murder rate of 23.3 right now. Tijuana's rate is 118.1
That chart is awfully outdated.
Jaxson Reed
Homcide rate is not the only crime. It's not a safety index you fucking retard
Christopher Foster
Bullshit map, there are worse fucking shitholes out there
Thomas Martin
>be american >get shot
Jack Watson
this too, not a single Colima city? It's literally the worst shithole in Mexico right now.
i was just shitposting a little m8. yes new orleans is arguably safer than afghanistan
but - calling afghanistan an active war zone is greatly exaggerated. fighting only continues in a few select areas and is mostly sporadic. walking around in herat at night might not be much more dangerous than in new orleans. - "technically a war zone" means absolutely nothing, see the examples in my previous posts. - citing wikitravel as a source is a fucking joke. again, that site has been desolate for years. all the active members moved on to wikivoyage after the owner of wikitravel started embedding ads on the site. - travel warnings are often memes, pic related. i am convinced you're more liable to get shot in new orleans than in northern kosovo.
It is the same metro region. I still don't understand why they count them separately. Just avoid that particular city and you are golden. Anyways most foreign tourists here stick to Bogota, Medellin or Cartagena so it's unlikely that you'll end up there
Luis Parker
not even slightly close
Jordan Carter
Probably safe for tourists. Learn one thing, lads: Touristic areas are usually safe everywhere, that's why they are "touristic" in the first place.
We already have a lot of people from your region living in favelas and on the streets
Brayden Moore
Armenia is probably the most safe to travel. Georgia should be safe too. But be ready that it will be hard to find English-speaking person there. Uzbekistan should be safe with some precautions, but as far as I know the influence of radical muslims is growing there. Afghanistan is totally unsafe away from capital without armed escort. Foreigner still could be easily kidnapped there.

Nothing It just has a very low population The entire peninsula has less than 1 million people, so any murder skyrockets the rate
Nathaniel Harris
I meant tip of the peninsula or state of Baja California Sur, the north has a lot more by the border
Jeremiah Green
>a mass shooting and van of peace in a single year Let's say Toronto is up there for 2018.
Nicholas Miller
>To compare a hyperviolent, landmine riddled, female genital mutilating land of insurgency, vigilantism and jihad to New Orleans is laughable.
Considering New Orleans has nearly 500 murders every year, that's probably not far off.
