Be honest, this looks pretty fucking cool.
Don't Europeans ever envy American freedom?
Dont need guns to feel safe. Love the freedom to go to Germany or France just now and all i need is my ID card.
I'm envious of the European freedom of movement.
Alot of have guns just for fun. It's a hobby. Shooting targets and hunting are very exciting
Next to no one will open carry. Even in a pistol course, it's taught you should keep it concealed so it doesn't draw any unnecessary attention. It might be constitutional and handy if you're out in public land and want to protect yourself against wild animals or something, but as an every day thing in the cities it's a dumb idea.
>living in a country where you ever feel the need to carry a firearm in case a minority or religious fanatic or another gun nut threatens you with a gun
The biggest irony is that the staunchest gun supporters shouldn't own guns since they're most likely to be fucked in the head.
small arms are utterly useless in armed conflicts
small arms can be totally nulled by:
concrete
trees
trenches
bags filled with sand/dirt
vehicles (but not thin skinned ones but fuller ones with more metal)
even further, civilianized small arms have even lesser range, rate of fire, precision and penetrating and stopping power
my grandpa was a corporal in the yugo army while it collapsed, so when his crew robbed army armories there was no one to stop him
in my basement i have:
mine throwers and mortars (even small ones, 30mm man portable) which allow indirect fire, meaning you can blow up people behind cover
machineguns (not light machineguns, but tripod variants which are very heavy, have no recoil, shoots HUGE bullets and lots of them too)
towed guns (anti tank mostly, but also have some weird shortened howitzer looking things)
and yet literally everything i mentioned pales in comparison to air superiority, you no longer have to encircle someone with motorized troops and keep him down in a hole with artillery till he starves to death, if you do not have jets with air to ground missiles you are functionally unarmed
As it should be. Of course I'm sad that we actually had to have the 9th circuit court rule on this in the first place.
Those aren't the reasons we have guns you brainlette.
Lurk more.
You already have that. You can go from California to Maine or Washington to Florida with ease. America is almost as big as the whole of Europe.
If you know who your enemy is, then small arms are outclassed. But the advantage of small arms is surprise and no defined enemy. You'd have to harm a lot of civilians to kill or guerilla. Maybe drones could do it though.
>People I don't like shouldn't have guns.
>America
>Freedom
who's stopping you from driving between states?
But i already carry both a knife and a handgun
they're certainly obnoxious but not really dangerous
Its not about feelings, dummy
no i enjoy the freedom of not getting shot

The gun culture here is completely different, so I can't really relate. Lots of people own guns, and nearly 10% of the population are registered hunters, but buying guns for self-defense is pretty much unheard of. There's not a single area in my region I'd feel unsafe walking through at dusk. There was a single gun homicide in the country last year and it was some farmer that was shot by his brother in-law.
