Because 21st century guys are real men, not bitchy little faggots who wear lace collars and listen to Mozart.

Ostentatious display of wealth and power became taboo.
That's less than 1% of the male population. Poofsters existed back then too but we just pretended otherwise.

I guarantee this agape kale-drinking monster is manlier than you.

I guarantee any human is manlier than a chink leaf

There's more tolerance these days for the single digit percent of males who do non-conforming stuff like suck dick or wear dresses, but that doesn't change the reality that men since 1970 have been immeasurably manlier than probably any point in history.

Wrong-generation millenials celebrate the 1950s as the pinnacle of masculinity, but men back then were universally skinny manlets who never stepped into a gym their entire lives and probably fucked three women at most, two of them paid for. Look at Sinatra, a twinky little soyboy who managed to be the pinnacle of masculinity just because he was photographed drinking whiskey and made subtle references to pussy in his songs.

Guys like that are a minority and no more feminine than the average man decades ago

Why would men now be manlier then before? Test levels have never been lower and we live in a far more feminine society

Sexual degenerates already existed in Roman period and athletes were also big on this era

Personality is more important than physical aspect. Nowadays men are a joke regardless of how they dress.

>Because 21st century guys are real men

Obvious bait

Machismo in America is very late 20th century. Exercise did not become mainstream until the 80s. Men's clothing emphasized style over shape and manliness. Almost everybody shaved, because beards were considered embarrassingly masculine. Promiscuous sex with women who are not prostitutes wasn't even on the table for our grandfathers.

People bitch about our society becoming more feminine but I see no proof of that. Look at the films which top the charts these days to the hits of the 1940s.

How would you even know how men were in previous generations lmao

>dude i've seen a picture/a movie/read a book and this guy a hundred years ago was pretty cool, wtf i hate modern men

I bet they were a bunch of worthless faggots just like they are today

Why? How? Compare the way men talk and think now to the way past generations did. We're more straightforward and expressive. We've left behind feminine niceties.

>Using Spanish words, exercise, style, beards and promiscuous sex make you manly
So basically what I was saying, modern men are a joke and you believing this proves me right

No ones say that, thread is about clothes

Do you really think everyone dressed like that a century ago, it was only the aristocrats, most people were dirty peasants

People still dress with swag but the style is different, because fashion changes

Talking to old people is a good start. They weren't passive-agressive faggots and understood how things work. And this was only some years ago when the transition was already happening (though rural Spain in the 50s was like Europe in the 1910s).

Alright how many old people you spoke to? what makes you think they weren't different in their youth? and all the generations that were before? I bet they had some terrible traits too that we have less today

>wearing pierced clothes that don't fit is swag
Nah, people are just brainless idiots being made fun of by their masters or simply following them in their madness

>I wish mid 19th century fashion get back
Yes.

Because surprise, clothes like that cost more to make
The one on the right looks like Jow Forums's idol Tekashi
Poofsters have existed since the beginning of man, you just didn't hear about them since only the truly exceptional are remembered and civilization has largely shifted from violent to analytical.

>>wearing pierced clothes that don't fit is swag

It is swag whether you like the style or not

they look like turks, why?

>Alright how many old people you spoke to?
I grew up in a village with only old people and it's something difficult to explain, they're just different, you can feel it, they had very hard lives. For example my grandmother started working at 6 and spent her entire life working all day long until her late 60s so her youth was only working and sleeping (a lot of the time was spent walking long distances too) and this was similar for most of them. Some people even arranged marriages in the marketplace because they couldn't find a partner due to working all day or isolation. Also all women were devotedly religious which makes them think and behave in another way. I can't say they were better or worst but I can assure you they were tougher.

They look like Turk Removers, which is what they are.

>Poofsters have existed since the beginning of man
But they had to keep their faggotry to themselves or they got lynched. They behaved like normal men and did their things in private.

Well, this is only proving my point. The mere fact men care so much about their aspect (historically and naturally a femenine trait) to the point of dressing like beggars to comply with a random beauty standard imposed by God knows who is telling you something's not quite right.

>Test levels have never been lower and we live in a far more feminine society

This only applies to Western/White men

In mid 19th century in Paris, yes. Most people dressed very well, even the poor. The appearance was extremely important in society. You have a false conception of this era

Looks like a Turk
