Deleting philosophers or major thinkers is just a dumb idea. Martin Luther, as many people have pointed out, was not the only one who wanted to reform the church. It probably would have been even more bloody without him-no central unifying force=many separate, antagonistic splinter groups=lots of war, death, and genocide. Example: there was a lot of controversy over whether Jesus was man or God before and during the Dark Ages-everyone was in small groups that believed he was divine to a different degree, and because of that, the largest group could divide, conquer, and kill. That's why almost no Christians today will tell you Jesus was fully human or divine. Getting rid of Luther is also probably bad because Capitalism would never be invented, so we would just be stuck in perpetual feudalism. Sounds pretty awful.

The Marx scenario is similar. He was not the only Communist/Socialist. D'Hupay invented the term and idea in 1777. Jacobins, who were basically Commies, took over France in the early 1790s. Proudhon created "Scientific Socialism" in 1840. Engels was just as important as Marx in making the Communist Manifesto. Getting rid of Marx does not suddenly destroy Communism.

Maybe the Communists? Maybe the Hugenberg ultra-nationalists? Maybe the Strasserists, who were basically a mix of Communists and Fascists? Even if we saved some people in Germany, we would just lead to more death overall. Stalin, who only halted anti-semitic raids to draw a distinction between themselves and Germany, would probably push the 50s era plan of sending Jews to the gulag much earlier. That means they would actually materialize because Stalin would still be alive to carry them out.

There wouldn't have been more war, I said that wrong. What I mean is that the war would have been more lopsided, which means the war would have been more deadly for the losers. While over the past 100 years or so stalemates have been more deadly than anything else, before that, pillaging was common, which led to much more deadly wars when one side "won," especially for civilians. Not to mention, post-war, there would likely be some form of genocide against the losing parties, like other sects in the Dark Ages. Our world was pretty tame and safe in comparison to one with many independent splinter groups.
