>doesn't like westbrits because they're acting foreign
>posts Japanese cartoons

You have no self awareness

Firstly, I don't go around acting Japanese in public, saying things like "SOU DESU YO" and such. Also, from what I know of Irish history, I don't recall there being any point at which the Japanese invaded us and oppressed us for centuries like the Brits did.

Attached: 1513881065898.jpg (498x509, 45K)

But anime is quintessentially Irish. How many times does this need to be said?

They're impotently angry, so it's nothing to worry about.

Anime told me that I should. Maybe the Brits should try that strategy? Peppa Pig clearly isn't working.

>The Commission confirms that at no point did the OSF advice the Commission that the donation was for political purposes within the meaning of the Electoral Act 1997
Sure, I guess any billionaire can just donate a ridiculously large sum of money so long as it's not for political purposes now.

>Sure, I guess any billionaire can just donate a ridiculously large sum of money so long as it's not for political purposes now.
Only if it's in support of left-wing causes.

Why do you watch cartoons? You're a grown man

I also play video games.

You'd want to grow up a small bit

But I'm fully employed. What growing up is there left to do? How I fill my spare time in the privacy of my own home is my own business.

>ard-righs

Yeah but pulling yourself to anime and playing games made for kids is degenerate, it's about time someone called you out on it and told you to cop on.

Anime is alright, it's the w*strbrits and cucks that must go

Give it a break, it's a space AI larping as an Irish bard.

t. /éire/pol/.

Maybe if your general had more anime it wouldn't have imploded.

All Hail our one true Taoiseach.

>both west brits and /éire/pol/ fear anime
Really makes you think.

reckon we should legally demand westbrits wear some sort of badge to identify them as people whom dislike anime, maybe put them in camps and look for a solution.
I'm thinking they should wear this, they'll love it.

I'm saving this for next time one of the lads call me a west brit in the groupchat.

>2.6% of TheJournal's views come from Japan
I'd have guessed Australia would be higher ranking.

It's easy to identify weebs already, fat bastards with neckbeards that don't wash themselves

Duolingo is drilling me through the fú- prepositions
I was wondering about those sentence structures
Tá fúm [root] or tá fúithi [root], it apparently translates as "I/You/He intend to"
Is that a common expression ? because the english intend to is rare and doesn't make a lot of sense

If you only adhere to stereotypes, your weeb identification powers are going to be shit.

>Is that a common expression ?
Yeah, it's common enough.

>because the english intend to is rare and doesn't make a lot of sense
The verb "to intend" is rather formal, but it's not uncommon in formal speech (common in politics for example). In regular speech people tend to say "I will go to the beach tomorrow" instead of "I intend to go to beach tomorrow". Notice how the former is in the future tense and the latter is in the present tense.

Attached: 1525432362840.jpg (1700x1200, 983K)

So the present tense is used in place of the future tense in gaelic?

No, but in both Irish and English the present tense of the verb "to intend" can allow you to speak in the present tense where you might otherwise have to use the future tense. The closest comparison I can think of is when you can use Aller in French to create a pseudo future tense in terms of Je vais manger = I am going to eat/I intend to eat.

>Duolingo
Is that actually good for learning a language?
Sort of just assumed it would only teach one nouns such as "dog" and "apple", as opposed to actual more in-depth fundamentals.

Attached: 1509503447143.jpg (2508x3541, 1.01M)

It's good for vocab and grammar. But don't expect to be able to write an essay or read a newspaper article when you're finished with a Duolingo course.

>don't expect to be able to write an essay or read a newspaper article
Do they market it as being more than that, or do they acknowledge one will only understand the basics afterwards?

Attached: 1530080220675.jpg (993x1268, 175K)

It teaches you to speak and the rules. I use it in combination with the memrise course, which allows you to actually look at the words, and the O Siadhail Learning Irish textbook; it works if you work like you’re in school.

Somewhere in between.

It's easy to spot a weaboo because they never shut the fuck up about anime and it's autistically the only thing they can talk about going by personal experience, there's more to life.

>there's more to life
Such as, oh so enlightened one?

Glorious SF socialst republican government shall put a stop to such vague misleading advertising.
In fact it shall put a stop to all privately-held enterprise.

What we think of the hurling doc last night?
Two comments I would have on it were that firstly they talked about many things that are sort of common to all team sports or Gaelic football. Being part of a team, playing with your friends from the local area etc.
Second one isn't necessarily a criticism, just unsure whether or not I like the style/format of the doc. All the music in the background and emotive commentary as opposed to perhaps more grounded facts and analysis.

You'll never spot me then.

Masturbating to real women for starters

Then we'll look for the man who doesn't talk about anime.

And there was me thinking you were going to say something actually worthy of my envy.

Dublin.

Unironically Dublin, it's a shite city but it's got some good drinking establishments.

Do you cry often?

>Tá fúm [root] or tá fúithi [root], it apparently translates as "I/You/He intend to"
>Is that a common expression ? because the english intend to is rare and doesn't make a lot of sense
I've never even heard of this word as a verb. But I can't think of how to say "intend to" either.
I do know that "Fúm" is "below me" and "fúithi" is "below her". They might be used in phrases that have different meanings though.

But there is Patriot fans there

Not really. I did when I was younger though.

>éirepol faggot thinks he's worthy of a (You)

I used to cry under tables a lot when I was younger. Good times though not really.

One time my mum left me in a shed at Homebase by accident and I cried my eyes out.

Right, "accident".

I couldn't blame her

;_;

naoi

Goodnight /éire/.

Did you live in an ad?

Last time I was in drogheda I bought a bunch of booze at the Tesco and just drank the entire time. I was over for my grandpop's funeral.
