I'm unironically /allin/ ETH right now. I have been holding since 2016 and haven't sold even once since then. But this whole SEC security deal has me shaken and unable to sleep. I'm literally freaking out that my net worth could go from 7 figures back down to 4 figures if they declare it a security. I said I wouldn't touch my stash till 2020 onwards but tomorrow is weighing on me heavy..any one else think this is fucking BS.
HELP
Look at it this way, even if (if) the sky falls down and it tanks to $300 or less, it really, really should rebound. If you're in it for the long term, I don't think it should worry you that much. Of course I could be completely fucking wrong, but that's my opinion.
Just hodl, faggot. You're scared? HAHAHAHA! I'm all in and I don't subconsciously give a fuck, bro!
oh man, you're fucked. trade for bch asap
Holy fuck imagine how badly youre going to get btfo if its a security
You should have just tethered up and buy in after the conference.
Right now, your risk exposure is too damn high.
If you're legit 7 figures in it, it probably wouldn't hurt to freeze a portion though (tether or even cash out). If you do want to risk it, you can also tether a portion, then either buy the dip if it does dip, or buy back at a slight premium if it goes up. It's less profitable than being all in, but you also would stand to lose less. It's just hedging your bets if you're genuinely worried about tomorrow.
Ok, so I'm not in ETH. I sold at 1200 a while ago.
I'll tell you what I would do based on my limited understanding of this conference.
Is this conference specifically for ETH? If it is then I would sell immediately. Why would they call a conference to say something good about ETH? Doesn't make sense.
Why not just sell half?
It's a secret meeting to begin a discussion about how to regulate crypto and what categories they fall into. There will be no information released after tomorrow's meeting. Nothing will be known for months if not years...
If you're worried just tether or sell into BTC for a few days. Might end up you gained, might end up you lost - but you manage the risk and skip that period of uncertainty and volatility. Don't go taking huge gambles at your level.
I don't understand why not just sell for btc. If it's safe you buy back, its not like you're going to lose a 800% bullrun
Im all in eos, am i safe or all eth assets are in danger
you can either
hold
sell
hedge
make a decision based on reason
If you're holding 0.3 eth you won't care as much as some whale
No way that's going to happen OP. The SEC has been pretty positive and upbeat on cryptos, read the signs. They're not going to do something that would wipe out the second biggest crypto currency.
You are fucked. Trade it for LOOM. Very good coin sir
But shhhh, don't tell anyone
Your going to be better off than most (already you should see that by looking at cmc)
If ETH gets declared a security, I fail to see why EOS wouldn't.
i hope you've sold user
Eth wont be declared a security.
I'm also all in eth and not selling till at least 2020
It just refuses to go up. But man does it love going down. Look at that thick red dildo forming.
I doubt it will, yeah, but I simply think that no one should believe that in the unlikely event that it is, only it will be affected.
Sell now.
Yeah, I'm really sure that FUD is totally leggit, concern shill.
Are you retarted? Just tether up. No need to hodl
You're 4 months away from Casper you idiot. 12/18 months away from sharding. Just hold.
>eth token
>won't tank
>like every other erc20 shit
delusional
Oh come on, it's stale FUD. I cant even be bothered to go into the details anymore at this point.
No decision will be made today, no decision will be made for a couple of years.
Theyve already said they don't want to stifle growth.
The dump now is just profit taking by the weaker hands and the people who prefer to stay on the sidelines during this.
Today will be a non-event and the FOMO buy-ins later today will be massive.
It's also telling that everyone focusses on ETH only during this, nobody is even thinking of the crypto-wide implications that it would have if ETH is classified a security -which won't happen-. Basically 99% of crypto would be 'banned' to normies in the US. That won't happen, the SEC only has like 3000 people for them. They will not start that battle.
And if it per chance of say, 0.0000001% does happen. We will see a dump and then quickly the whole world realizes that the US is just the US, and it will move on.
