i live in a 80s commieblock

70s commieblock, commieblocks in russia look more horrible then in poland or czech. Sometimes this depressive view from my window i want to nuke this gray shithole.

I live in a house in a suburban neighborhood. I used to live in a much more rural area, I liked it more.

>alright mate just need to pick up something from the store. see you in two months.

who thought this was a good idea?

I live in a very large house in rural newfoundland

how can people live in such a nightmare?

Attached: Hauptmarkt_Trier_SK.jpg (751x583, 142K)

Cars and gasoline are extremely cheap in the US of A. Driving to a supermarket would literally cost pennies.

I don't give a fuck about how cheap it is, it's a fucking chore to be dependant on driving somewhere. How many hours do they waste driving ?

5-10 minutes to shop for everything I need.

I live in an apartment building. It was built in the 70s and used to be kind of shitty.
But my neighborhood is popular now because it's convenient to a lot of stuff downtown, so it got renovated and now it's really nice.
It's not expensive either ($770/mo including internet and cable). But most of the surrounding buildings are old historic homes. Cool neighborhood.

apartment and i want to murder all my neighbors

Do you get pleasure in seeing other people suffering, be honest?

no, I'm just curious to see how other people live.
I actually use Jow Forums to learn about other cultures and life styles

house, suburb but it's an older one where there is space between us

70's commieblock, not too bad, only 5 floors, the buildings aren't packed too close to each other and the greenery helps as well

argentina
urban apartment sadly

Most of the people wanting to move to suburbia are minorities these days.

>mfw my suburb is flooded with the chinese and indians
Why do they like them so much

Flag
Rural house surrounded on all sides by soybeans and corn.

Same here.

Falling for the meme, mostly.

>it's a fucking chore to be dependant on driving somewhere
It’s better than having to take the bus with the Latinos like a chump

Weekdays I rent a house in suburbs with friends for work/college. Most weekends I go home to my parents house in the countryside. I prefer rural living overall provided you have a car but Ireland is small and it's only a 5 minute drive into town from my parents' house. If it was like the US were rural means 4 hours away from a city then I could see why it could be inconvenient to live there

>walking distance of groceries, bakery, butcher shop, doctor
>commute to work by train

This is my town. I live in one of those commieblocks in the central area.

why would anyone voluntarily live in the middle of nowhere there's nothing to do lmao
not that much actually. considering how they unironically go to the store once a week. they freeze bread

>No car
>Wait for bus
>bus comes and is full of spics
>drops you off 15 minutes from where you're going

It's easer to just get in a car an go directly where you have to go, and get the fuck on. Public transport is for children and failures here.

>1-hour commute
Holy shit
How do burgers (or others) cope with losing 2h everyday in their cars ?

Yes you need to drive bur driving distances for shopping and entertainment are not as big as you think. Stop taking memes seriously

By playing boomer music. Tho my commute is 20-30 minutes only

>>drops you off 15 minutes from where you're going
Who the fuck even manages your busses wtf ?

>rural house
>30 min from the center of the city by car
>clean air
>no faggots blasting music on a floor below
>nice small shops where everyone knows you and you always have a friendly chat
>barbeque any day I want in my backyard
>supply of hot water in summer (they shut it down for maintenance in the cities in summer)
>my own garage
Cityfags btfo. I'll never return to my flat.
The only downside might be 10 mbps internet but that's getting fixed next week.

I have all that in a city, can't relate.

>they shut it down for maintenance in the cities in summer
Bullshit. The last it happened was in 2005 or even earlier and only for like two weeks.
Also pretty sure you made all those things up since it's impossible to live in russian villages during winter because bills for heating would be insane. Not to mention there are no jobs in rural areas in russia unless you are some kind of a farmer.

The nicest thing about the UK was, you could be smack dab in the middle of a city, drive 7 minutes, and be out in the countryside with green fields and sheep.
In America we ruined that by surrounding the city with suburbs and 8-lane highways. You’ve got to drive 45 minutes to get to the country in America.

>Suburbia ain’t that bad I can get to the McDonald’s drive-thru in 5 minutes flat! Walking is socialism

Why can’t we have more townhomes in America? Best of both worlds.

Rural, live on an old farm. Some stuff still grows every year, I take care of some of it.

I both jog and drive. Nice projection tho

Old fashioned urban apartment. These are huge as fuck and mine is a duplex with terrace. Before 2011 you could see the sea from afar until some assholes decided to build taller buildings in front of my apartment building.

The small walks city people do isn't real jogging. I jog/run for 1 hour a day.

House in small comfy area 20 minutes outside a bigger town.

I live in a flat, urban area
houses in urban area are only row houses and quite expensive, but I could afford one; when I bought my place though, I couldn't, so might move at some point
but it's a lot of work to maintain a house all by myself so meh dunno

I've been living in garbage military dorms for the last 2 years, and lived in shitty uni dorms a year before that. I've spent my entire 20's living in small 100 sqft boxes with no AC. I finally bought a townhouse a month ago, but the delivery truck is a week late in bringing stuff over from my parents house and the tenant still hasn't left. Hurry the fuck up, I'm so tired of this.

I pay 680€/month for an apartment in a city of 50k in the middle of nowhere.

that is 54m2*

House, suburban

I live with my parents in a doublewide in the sticks

suburban house

What a travesty.

USA
On a boat
Ghetto/poor suburbs

It doesn't take long at all, my city is designed around driving. Driving will always be superior to public transport because you can go anywhere you want when you want

no meme to be fell for, suburbs are really nice to live in

Flag
Urban house.

Trier is not that bad...

As long as the traffic on the freeway isn’t a parking lot, you can find a place to park nearby, your car’s in working order, the government has kept the roads in good maintenance for you, you and all other nearby drivers obey all road laws, and you have fuel in your tank.

I live in an apartment. I want to move out and get my own place, but it's just way too expensive and I'll never be able to afford my own place on this salary, so I just stay with my parents.

>my city is designed around driving
Such cities are all shitholes that aren’t doing as well as pedestrian-friendly cities. You either have a recent population loss or your city has recently made a push to be more walkable/transit-friendly. I guarantee it.

Do you live in New York, most of these things aren't a problem around here

starting to sound like a Euro there

urban apartment

live in a 1910s suburban neighborhood, so it's actually a sub-urban place not some out in the country development

It's alright, I like my house and neighbors

I'd McFucking hang myself

Downtown 10min walk to beach, 5min drive to mid of downtown

Urban house with parents. Can't wait to go back to school and live in an urban dorm.

They're comfy and want to be something they are not.

I live in a rural semi-detached house, do you know what that is?

i live here, it counts as a sub urban but not really, it's fine.

Absolute shit-tier

This has been a nightmare after my car broke.

Having to drive to do everything must be such a fucking pain.

My street’s pretty cool. We have apartments and historic houses together, and a little century-old office building across the street. Love walking my dog through my neighborhood.

I'm an /o/tist so driving is quite enjoyable for me. Also it helps me save money because i don't feel tempted to go out and buy shit unless i REALLY need to. It's quiet out here and I really enjoy working on my car afterwork with the garage door open, jamming out to some music.

It's terrible during the winter if i'm honest.

>suburbs
>on a boat

Why is that one house in the middle facing the main road when all the others are facing the other way?

live ontop a mountain in the middle of the city
its kind of a hybrid

>mfw €400 for 35m2
it's okay
but if the fucking turks forget about separating the trash AGAIN I'll to have to pay 100 more for a few months because of all the extra costs and work from all their trash

I live in a house, 5 minutes outside the city centre.

Suburbs connect with a bayou on which my boat is docked on. I technically live at a marina but its all poor liveaboards aswel.

I do and it's as bad as it looks.

urban house

What's bad about it? looks like a nice neighbourhood. I would not want to live in a desert area of course but something equalent in nothern parts of the world would be nice.

Vienna?
The city surprised me, looks like a mix of Budapest and St. Petersburg

This setup seems so fucking comfy why am I stuck in a shitty apartment in Stockholm fuck my country man

Not him but it’s not terrible to live there, it’s just dull.

And the aggregate effect of having many of these in your city is a huge strain on infrastructure (roads, water, power lines, cable/ethernet etc.), but the residents don’t pay for it accordingly.
That’s why many suburban municipalities in America have been going broke.

90% of east coast cities are filled with those.
