Hi faggots!
I just quit my job as a quality manager. AMA - Ask Me Anything.
What was your job?
What did you just do?
hi tony
I was a quality manager in a wood industry company.
I was responsible for the overall quality outcomes. Basically if there was a problem with quality on some products i was the person who was called in to deal with the issue.
Usually the outcome must be 95% or above for all the products which would be then sold. Now as quality manager you would be responsible for machinery (working condition and quality outcome), workers (instructing them how to work properly and what kind of defects to pay attention to), technical aspects and co-operation with clients as in reclamations. If a client was not happy with the products then i needed to go to the clients factory and do a checkup on the products and find a solution for both parties. That involved a lot of traveling (last week was in Switzerland).
So why did you quit?
Comfy AF ikr.
The reason why i quit was that because i got offered a better job in a government based company. Its quite funny to think about it that a private company cant offer the same things like a government one could. So basically:
I need to work only 3 times per week compared to 5 times per week. I get payed more. Its more close to my home. On this private company i had to travel 2 hours each day via car. Now im going to travel only 30minutes each day via car. Already saving up on gasoline costs + i get payed more.
Also i have to note that in the private company i usually had to do overhours, one week like a couple of weeks ago i had 4 days in a row of 12hours of working. Basically work + sleep back to work. It was crazy. Tbh thats the reason why i quit, because fuck that shit. Life is not about working and sleeping. You basically get an existential problem. I have money but i cant fucking use it, because im either at work or sleeping or doing chores on the weekend. Wtf kind of life is that?
Wrote in another post, but TLDR:
>Get payed more.
>Have to work 3/week compared to 5/week.
>Is closer to home, less gasoline costs.
>Work was quite crazy, i was sometimes called out on the night.
>Sometimes i had periods where you needed to work 12h per day straight.
>Have no free time to use the money.
I also have to note that industry is fucking bullshit. You are better off learning some IT and programming and living a sort of comfy AF lifestyle. Im actually now going to start learning programming and eventually to become an IT specialist because these guys get payed so fucking much and less for the work lol.
I have some IT friends who earn 2x as much as i did (and i did earn quite well) but still those fuckers were like benefits, salary, company car blabla while you are a person who is responsible for the whole outcome of products and you need to lead people as well. The salary difference is off the charts. Fuck that shit man. And when things go shit people start yelling at you from the board like you are a fucking idiot and shit. Wtf are you even doing here? Why did i hire you. Today i gave away my resigning and damn their faces were lit as fuck. You could see that they shat themselves. They will probably make a reoffer but i will decline.
well done. What coins do you got?
Is an omlette sandwich good enough to eat in the morning tomorrow
>WAN - Chinese chinkscam, but could possibly boom real crazy (China covered).
>BTC - No need to explain.
>BBN - Chinese data transferring system, chinkcoin again but China is growing (China covered).
>ETH - No need to explain. You swap BTC to ETH and vice versa if needed.
>STK - NA currency system (Canada + America covered). Might be shit but could boom.
>ELIX - Loaning system (Plebs like to loan and why not have a cut of it).
>SGR - Lowkey lowcap exchange system by the French community (France covered).
>0xBTC - Something really stupid that could boom eventually and i could live the rest of my life without no hassle. Its a longshot, but hey, to make it in this game you need to play the longshots.
Just some few examples where i made money:
>VEN when it was 30c.
>IOTA when it was 50c.
>Ripple when it was 25c.
>XML when it was 25c.
You need to invest in things that have a longshot possibility and maybe at some point dump it to other longshots. Thats how you make it.
Depends what your goals are. If you care about your looks then omelette sandwich is a good nutritious dieting food. I myself eat sandwiches and sometimes do omelettes as well.
If you dont care what you look like then eat whatever you want. I want to have a fit body so i will go with some dieting and on some weekends i eat some shit. Looks are undervalued and can get you far in life. Even if you are a dum dum but people like to look at stuff they dont have so usually it increases your chances of doing something great. You dont need to look like the next D.Beckham or some other shit, just wash yourself, eat good, dress good and smell good. These things increase your chances of becoming a white worker in the up. Every work can be learned. Also be fucking social and not autistic even if you hate it.
nice work on this 0xBTC shill thread. you did well.
I dont get where you took the idea of me quitting my job as being a 0xBTC shill thread.
Truth be told i just mined it when it was under the radar and i am actually the advocate who says that it might be completely shit "FUD"-ster. Like ofc for this to boom it needs to gain traction as in market value (market need and market availability). Supply and demand my brother.
I just mined some and stored them in a safe place and i dont give a shit about it. Even if it goes to 0 i didnt lose anything. Since user asked what i hold then why not play with open cards. My god, dont mine it or buy it and just skip it if you think its bullshit.
Fair spread. Bit thin no? Out of that Elix is one I've seriously looked at investing in, but my capitals too low
SGR is interesting, and I have a hard on for French cryptos. They have a great start up scene, and new leading EU role.
ARK BAT NAS ELA
What did you want to do as a kid, any stand out jobs?
OP, you seem like a sensible person. Good job on the new job!
Godspeed
>I have a hard on for French cryptos. They have a great start up scene, and new leading EU role.
as a frog, let me give you a preemptive sorry for your loss
Creed ?
Its ok, it'll just affirm my innate Bong when you Frogs let me down.
I will say that i think VEN is still a good pick but only if you can afford a masternode. Im actually in a position of waiting others to moon abit and then maybe hit on VEN masternode at some point. I actually have a friend who has a masternode so we are just going to sum up our VEN so in theory i have a masternode i just need to invest in it.
Its a bit thin i agree, but those are the coins i have chosen atm and i will wait until september to see what the situation is. After summer i will start making new moves. Trend is looking rather bullish what usually happens in summer. People are happier, sun is out, people make hasty decisions and invest in stuff they might lose. In shitter times people are more afraid and wont do moves (talking about the tax season after january). So choose your time wisely!
Out of all of my coins i am most afraid of SGR, STK and 0xBTC of coins that might not make it. They are really under the radar and possibly... could become under the radar for a long time. Those are my lets say "Gamble shots", if i win with it, then gratz, if not then well fuck me you win some you lose some. The other coins on my profile im looking at least a 6 month bullish pattern. Crypto is a long game thing and sometimes you need to make hard decisions when to quit (Like with IOTA, damn if i remember it hit 4 or 5usd right?). That imo was a really good call to maybe stop and take out. Ripple was the same at 2usd. XML i think is a good 5 year plan. VEN is good only when masternode.
Out of your coins i would go ARK and ELA. BAT and NAS dno, havnt DYOR.
Thank you for your kind words user! I will give you some guys some advice.
>Work for something that you enjoy.
>Even if you get payed less do some work that you enjoy and maybe on the other side (free time) learn something you want to really do. As i pointed out i didnt lose in salary but i have 2 extra free days. On these days i will start learning IT as i want to become an IT specialist eventually on my own.
>If there is an opportunity to get a better salary and benefits, never turn down the offer. Hold on to it and maybe go back in 2 months. I mean here is that be a professional and keep a good touch with other companies CEOs. I actually went to an interview in another company 3 months ago, the CEO wrote to me last week asking how im doing randomly. I said im looking for a job still and he said i cant give you anything right now but lets keep in touch.
>If people are nasty at you at work, then start looking at a new job. Dont fucking wait.
>Never quit being angry. Quit by being positive happy and something to look out for. The place where you worked will respect you more.
Lengthy response, thanks.
>BAT - paid to view ads when browsing, auto ad block if you dont want to
>NAS only rank and search engine for smart contracts & blockchains. Literal crypto google, ranking is much different to ranking web pages. But also uses DAG transactions 1st hybrid blockchain / dag & 1st javascript smart contracts.
I fully agree.
How are you going to learn IT, what do you mean by it? I am learning programming right now, but I kind of hit a plateau. Would like to hear how you have it planned out.
Thanks for your quick overview DYOR user!
Well im currently thinking about either: Java, Python, Magento or C++. I have a good connection with one companies CEO who was thinking of hiring me as a project manager. He turned me down because i didnt have experience but said that if i could acquire some experience and do some tests for him he would be interested in me. He really enjoyed our interview and said he really likes me, but he just doesnt want to invest in me by taking in and teaching me.
Then i talked to my faggot IT friends and some of them havnt even gone to the university to learn. Basically they said that pick up youtube videos, get a book (but not necessary) and the most important thing START DOING STUFF ON YOUR OWN. Literally. Thats how i learned VBA on excel. Just started doing some random shit and now i can actually fairly understand VBA and never learned it in a school.
Also there are some seminars which you can pay for to do like some courses and shit. Im thinking of going Java because i understand it is universally used and quite popular, but i actually have tinkered with Python in the past. I made a stupid bot with Python that repeats actions, was funny and it took me 1 day.
So overall i will first decide what language to learn, then start watching some youtube videos and maybe make some stupid shit on my own. Possibly some random industrial programs like you dont need to input data into excel by hand, rather making a form where you can add data which then transfers data to excel or some other data collection system. Basically make some random shit and maybe later sell it to some company? Profit from both sides, you learn and maybe can get a cut from it. DO IT YOURSELF "DIY" :P
Ishikawa and Deming would be proud op
Me happy yes.
We actually called it the "Fishbone" system, because it looks like fishbone right?
Yeah, the cause and effect (fishbone) diagram.
Thumbs up user! You also work in quality?
Yeah, and manufacturing. Statistical process control and new product introduction. Sick of it tho.
I don't like co-workers politics, long hours and shit pay. Should had gone to software engineering instead, ohhh well.
You can always make a change user. It took me 6 months to realize it and 3 months of searching for a new job. Went through 20 job applications, 6 of them called for interview. As you have some knowledge in statistics i like to call it the "Empirical statistics". The more you shoot, the higher chance it is to land a shot, even if the % is small. Just need to push through it.
I totally get your point of manufacturing being a pain in the ass. It is and its fucking dreadful. Tbh eventually i thought i might end up in the shrink if i continued doing long hours of work for shit pay and with such responsibilities. Its better off to learn something that you like which has a good pay as well. I will take it as a phase in my life. I can always go back to manufacturing if needed. At the moment, this chapter is closed and its time to make your own chapter.
