I can´t get into much detail, but I just got solid information from couple of senior SEC members, and although there isn´t a confirmation of the result of this meeting, they strongly claimed the general consensus among the staff is that ETH WILL be classified as security.
When questioned about the probability of this outcome ( not being a security ), one individual said 90%, while the other said 95% chance.
Use this information wisely, also regardless of the result no immediate action will be taken and not even a agenda will be discussed for the next steps.
Hey, Ive got a friend that will attend the hearing and he spoke as well to some people and they all said that this was a joke and it will not be labeled a security. He also said that the only reason for the hearing is to classify eth as a commodity for legal reasons and to get it down in writing.
