Nordics are super depressed

>nordics are super depressed
Is this true or is it just americans coping because they don't have a welfare state?

Why do we keep moving down the list each year?

Bhutan is the happiest nation, that is just some euro-centric or 1st world survey

We are depressed but we also deal with the mental issues unlike some countries that deny their existence.

Housing prices

But no one wants to be a f*nn

Most of those are meme statistics once you see how they are calculated

t. a guy that works overtime for free because muh culture

Americans are just incredibly happy pigs. You can make them live in shit and they'll still be grinning like retards.

World happiness report doesn't measure happiness. They measure useless junk like political freedums

Hopefully every swedish people will commit suicide!

You are using the wrong flag. I don't think that you are even living there, ergo you are not even a sexpat. Otherwise you would know.

Really made me think.

thank god you'll be replaced by brown people

brazil in last place

No binland, stahp. Come here and relax when you feel like cutting your wrists (only femanon actually welcome)

Can't even fathom why people would commit suicide outside of economic reasons desu, what the fuck is wrong with some western euros. They're living life on easy mode.

More pressure to succeed in rich countries. In third world countries like greece you can just go to your local milkman and ask for a job but here you need to study for 10 years to get a job at the local supermarket.

It's actually the opposite, here if you go to a cafe and ask the waiter for his background it's a common occurrence that he's going to tell you he's a math or science PhD or engineer looking for a job. Most young people are overqualified for everything here but there's no chance for high-tech businesses or other sophisticated jobs springing up due to the insane taxes forced by the EU austerity so there's no new job opportunities. Hence, young greeks moving abroad and taking high ranking jobs in western countries. I mean, greeks are far more likely to become scientists or other traditionally "hard" occupations than other euros.

Now you guys got everything served on a platter and still kill yourselves for no fucking reason. You don't even know what it's like to immigrate and leave your families and their fortune behind for a new life, and you still don't have the basic strength to go on. How is that not pathetic?

One dying nation talking shit about another dying nation. Classic EU bants.

Depressed people kill themselves so only happy people remain.

It makes perfect sense.

you are happy if you have job and decent health. We dont have same concept of happiness like you do.

Funland is eastern european country with western living standards

people don't kill themselves because of 1 problem lol, it's because of years of depression

western society is cold so some people are left out starting from middle school, never have any friends or relationships and become depressed

in rural third world countries everyone knows each other and no one is left out, so less people become mentally ill

Why are Kiwi teens so sad?

OHNONONONO

Aussie Chads steal their gfs.

Isn't it the job of the parents to make the child not feel isolated and alone though? You don't need everyone to know each other to be mentally healthy. Some people I met at the UK had bizarre relationships with their parents, like they treated them as their employers or money givers instead of parents. That felt off more than anything else to me.

Memes, probably. Why are underageb&s under the impression that pretending to be depressed and suicidal is cool?

family is different too of course, i haven't eaten with my family at a table during dinner for 15+ years for example. maybe it's less personal here as well.

there's a reason most suicides happen in cities and not in rural areas in western countries also

happinessresearchinstitute.com/about
>Building on measurement guidelines and benchmarks from the OECD and UN, we combine qualitative and quantitative methods to provide insights on the level of well-being, happiness and quality of life.

>Whether we measure happiness, well-being or quality of life we are faced with the same challenges. They are all complex concepts. Therefore, we need to analyze different components. Much like when we examine how the economy is doing we can look at GDP per capita, growth, unemployment, inflation and interest rates. Each indicator gives us information about the status of the economy. Similarly, when we measure quality of life - we can examine different dimensions such as the cognitive, the affective and the eudaimonic dimension. The cognitive dimension focuses on an overall life satisfaction and is the indicator, which is the basis for many international rankings such as the World Happiness Report. The affective dimension focus more on what kind of emotions – both positive and negative - people experience on a daily basis such as joy, worry and stress. The eudaimomic dimension builds on Aristotle’s perception of the good life and thus focuses on purpose and meaning. These are all subjective measures – and we consider that to be a good thing. What we care about is how people feel about their life. We believe people themselves are the best judge of whether they are happy or not. Working with subjective measures is difficult, but it is not impossible. We do it all the time, when it comes to stress, anxiety and depression – which are also subjective phenomenons - at the end of the day, it is all about how we as individuals experience our lives. What we ideally do is we follow people over time, and see how changes in life circumstances impact the different dimensions of happiness. How does e.g. unemployment, sickness, or a raise in income affect the different dimensions?

Make of it what you will, I guess.

Im surprised how uk is so low compared with other western countries

This is a good stat for doing sex tourism, thanks northeners

They look at how well you live and then slap "happy" on your country if you live well.
