What was japan like in the 80s?

What was japan like in the 80s?
Are any of the Japanese posters old enough to remember it?

Jap GDP 1995 $5,451 B
Jap GDP 2017 $4,841 B

Usa gdp 1995 $7338 B
Usa gdp 2018 $18570 B
What went wrong with japs

Yeah, They reached 70% of US GDP in 1995. But they put too much pressure on themselves and shit.

My father brought the land at the morning.
One day latter
The price of the land got higher 100000us dollar.
Sold it.
Earning 100000us dollar only wait one day.
Buy high class europian car.
Went club. Such crazy age.

>went club
And that's how you were born.

chinks and gooks started to do the exactly same things that japs did

Actually yes wwwww///////*shy

Why was the 80s so good and the 90s so shit?

90s was greatest as kids, becouse greatest age of all the game, anime, manga, toys, and so on.
When I remember about that age, I was just palying all day for Japanese pop culture.
Also economy was not such bad and even now, Japanese economy is not such bad, but 80s was just too crazy.

Shut the fuck up, zoomer.

90s japan was as kino as you could get. top tier anime, top tier cars, top tier fashion, infrastructure wasn't old and outdated yet, everyone was rich af with money to blow on consumer goods. one of the peaks of civilization

It was just like all the money and business which Korean and Chinese company is earning now is concentrated into Japanese companies only.
And Japan had only those real technology of mass consumeing production with high quality.
So whatever we make, sold quickly somewhere of the world. So money is concentrated into Japan
And even now, gorvenment investing by that money as capital of invest and earning a lot.
So Japan now is like more financial nation.

literally Nothing. just look at their tiny islands. Japan alone has a higer GDP than all of the europans cunts, no recourses, no colonies, just japan.

...and a slave to US foreign policy

>kino
Cringe.

everyone was a slave to us foreign policy back in the 90s, even russia

Oh the horror

not China

imagine having a massive german military base in NY with thousands of german soldiers "protecting" you from Canada and Mexico.
Now think what would happen if US economy managed to do better than Germany's in such a situation.

Actually this is nothing but a reason that 80s economy of Japan was ended. Like
Japan " hahaha work work! Earn earn hahahaha,"
Usa"humm stop Japan."
Japan "ah really..? Key..."

US strengthened yen with the Plaza agreement, and fucked them.

Becouse no military w
Economical super power need big military backing up that economy.
So without it, we have to just be good boy and save it potential.

We wouldn't surpass germany if thry for example won ww2
Lol that's not what happened, you just had a huge bubble and Koreans and chinese entered the competition

the Yoshida doctrine has a lot of ups and some downs. Apparently if you don't spend monies on your defense you'll boost several sectors of your economy but someone else's got the power to say "hummm stop Japan".

Oh no, not the most benevolent superpower in history, anything but them!

Plaza agreement from usa. As he says

Plaza agreement failed to reduce the defecit of american-japanese trade actually. It was more successful with germnay.
The problem is that you guys pursued expansionary monetary policies after the agreement which led to the bubble.

Also this too. Japan lost dick and courage to make more influence to the world, becouse somewhat effected the memory of lost of ww2.

And Thanks to strengthened yen, Korea's exports have increased,
Even Korea's economic growth rate in the late 80s was 12%!

Thanks to the America THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN 天朝國 LOL

yeh it's not like you need Plaza agreement if you don't allow Japan into your East Asia defense system against USSR and China, restarting the devastated Japanese economy with the Korean war, allowing free access to the US giant market (hey, no more resources from Manchuria, no more oil and resources from SE Asia), know how and a free ride under the US nuclear umbrella.

I think so too.
Economy and safety is connected. So need to think how to goes on.
Japan Tuesdays made free tread with EU but wondering How work is it.
