I feel like 5'10" is more or less the average height for men in the United States. Girls my age are almost always shorter than me. By and large, I have noticed that the upcoming generation seems a bit more elevated than my own--more females are in the 5'6"-5'9" range.

I'm in India now, though, and rarely see girls taller than me. I know quite a few who are only an inch or two shorter, but I'm definitely on the tall side for South Asia (but again, you're starting to see a LOT more 5'10"+ Indians in the younger generation, whereas you see tons of 5'6"/5'7" middle-aged men. Explanation for that should be fairly obvious).
