While it may hold true that their ideological standing has been diluted over the course of time, it's still important to note that their entire rhetoric uses islam and conservatism as its basis, and their crushing popularity amongst the voters has to thank that and only that for it. My point being is they're still a nominally islamist party, their actual actions notwithstanding.
Never expected you to know about the Adl wal Ihsane clique, you seem awfully well-informed on the subject.

After years of research, I have come to the conclusion that hell must be some kind of place where you're forced to debate Marxism with 15 year old ancap Jow Forums posters, forever

That sounds like hell alright.

Morning boys

Only the ninth circle, silly

Good morning

When?

Attached: 1474878443530.jpg (871x643, 396K)

Morning.
What are the other circles then?

What is up, my dudes?

Cutting Cairo in half, generalizing southern syria as Druze and that eye-bleedingly nonsensical partition of Iraq really show that whomever was responsible for making this monstrosity of map has not the slightest clue about the geography and demographics of the region.

The eighth circle is living in the MENA region during the summer. That's all the information my spies in hell could provide. (Rude I had to think of a way to avoid actually describing every single circle while preserving my dignity )
How's our teacher doing?

Not bad.
I'll talk to the owner of the school in two hours, but I'm pretty confident about it.

Btw is the Tunisian democracy a meme or is it real?

You're not wrong about that but it's important to make a destination between a party that uses the "Allah and his prophet" guise to appease voters similar to how the AKP swung the more conservative votes in Turkey.
>My point being is they're still a nominally islamist part
Agreed but even in that respect they are more like dejure islamist-lite
>Never expected you to know about the Adl wal Ihsane clique, you seem awfully well-informed on the subject.
I have some moroccan friends and I talked with them about moroccan politics once, particularly one that adheres to said party and he explained to me the role of abdesselam yassin and just how popular they really are in Morocco even though they don't wanna enter the political sohere. But other than that my knowledge is pretty limited.

Oof I'm typing like a retard
It's important to make a distinction between and islamist party by name and one that is actually islamist basically.

Oh it's real, and it's scary. I don't think our islamist party wants to actually participate, instead they push their sockpuppets and just want to hold political influence, through non islamist politicians and other neans. Their supposed islamism comes into question when half of the party comes from secularist and technocratic origins and when you can see most of em drinking in tunis

It will happen anons, Arabs have proven how pathetic they are in all areas of nation building, warfare, diplomacy etc etc

If isreal had the capability to fight such a war they would have already invaded southern syria by now. Truth of the matter is even if they do win and the international community doesn't escalate it to a world war the various partisan groups that will pop up will bleed them dry and they know they will lose the attrition war, they already did before with syria in Golan.

They've actually tried many times to put their print on the political scene here with open-air lectures, bonding with worker syndicates and formal demands to become part of the electoral legislature, but the last time they tried to was during the 1980s, after which abdselam was forced into reclusion in his own house by the police, and it's during this period of seclusion that he wrote تنوير المؤمنات and حوار الماضي و المستقبل, which were part of our islamic education curriculums.
And trust me, those books demand just about everything shy of a nuclear jihad to rejuvinate the ummah.

They dont have the capability to fight such a war now, much of their force is demobilised and they dont have the military production levels to sustain the levels of attrition they'd suffer but IF and WHEN they decide to launch such a war they could easily build up their forces for such a campaign.

>Their supposed islamism comes into question when half of the party comes from secularist and technocratic origins and when you can see most of em drinking in tunis

Hopefully they cut this shit out and become definitely non-religious people.
I grew up in a sunni environment and I've developed some kind of aversion towards Islam.

I just wanted to see /mena/ becoming less religious. That's it.

I'm afraid that even the least religious algerian muslims maintain some sort of fervor about islam. Maybe what we really need is unbiased education or prosperity.

Hell, even biased education is fine at this point, literacy rate here is 81% lol

Where is the Jordanian anime poster?

Desu-troying his lungs, probably. We wish him well

If we want mena to become less religious though, we need a more disinterested system and exposure to western social media or different ideas. The potential exists because so many maghrebis are already merely cultural muslims in name only but they probably never had opportunity to question their ancestral belief.

>it's 44°C outside and the saharan winds are blowing full-force

I hope MENA goes full islamism one day

Lmao user, sorry to hear about that. That sucks but I hope the rest of your day goes easier. Maybe buy some in advance next time?

Fine, habibi. I'll give the (you) you're craving for right now because you're really likeable and cute when you're talking about anything but islam.

Get a delivery idiot.

I think turkey is a decent example to follow, although they're becoming more islamic. I think making education accessible to all is a more pressing matter than making it more secular. You might've forgotten since you're overseas, but there are people that can't read and write in this day and age. As for western media, we shouldn't make a very extreme transition. Our media already has western influences, although it's trash. And people already use facebum and what have you, I don't think that changed anything about my compadres
Go for tajine, you'd be saving your money and potentially your life

Never read the books myself but people who did tell me they are mainly about fixing peoples iman and education. Your description seems more fitting of something like Qutb work who isn't pacifist like abdesallam.
Why? I talk like this consistently about everything. Thanks for the (you) anyhows
Maybe you should do what egypt did.
Islamic revival through spreading education and infusing it with moral teachings

There's no restaurant in my town that I know of, has a delivery service and is not ridiculously pricey.

Delivery service isn't free in fas?

It's non-existent, and the few places that have it are run by jews it seems. The joint near me where I used usually buy my fast food from for examples charges a tenth of the total fee on top for deliveries, and that's excluding tipping the delivery boy. It's just not an option for me with my budget.

Hmm. Can I ask you a question? Exactly how old are you? Since you said before you were 19 then said you have discovered this website when you were 11 in 2007 and honestly I'm a bit confused.

Stock up in advance on sandwichs? You're for real?
If you mean that I should store some basic ingredients and fix myself some grub when the need calls for it, then I'd also really like that. Problem is, as my home's in a bit of a culinary apartheid, me making my own thing whilst sharing the same kitchen with my mother who's cooking her own thing has lead us to many awkward and tense situations that are bad for my heart and bad for her pride as a housewife, so I pass on it when I can and just opt for a quick tacos or pizza from outside that I can eat in the privacy of my own room.

I was born in april 1998, do your math.

so you were 8 in the beginning of 2007, right? That means either the polish weeb showed you /a/ later in 2009 or you've discovered it very young? Also, you already knew enough english to chat with him back then? maybe thanks to a lot of exposure to its media? Sorry, I'm supposed to be lurking right now but apparently I'll never grow of questioning people on their identity on an anonymous forum.

I think so, and I've met the guy in a CS Source map in the winter of that same year, and I've been introduced to the jolly delights of Jow Forums by spring break if my memory doesn't fail me. My english was extremely basic at the time as you might expect from an underage newfag, but for context, this was the time period when ppl tught dat tiping liek dis was lulzy and rofl. So I've really never had massive difficulties communicating with my steam friend or anywhere else on the interwebz really.
