That's just because it's more profitable in England to get something published.
>French book
>accessible to France, Québec, and Africa
>English book
>pretty much everyone via amazon
So no hassles of translating, and a bigger market.
No wonder UK publishers take more risks.
So in short, think before you post brito*d.

Germans have even less of a market than France yet publish more..
Christ, Žižek is prolific.
Other countries should write in English then. Simps
Probably a lot of those in English. Granted that's not the only reason, and we'd need to deep digger. If half of the English books are YA bullshit, I don't think we need to shit on France for not having those.
There is only one book you need
Aren't Brits mostly self-pubbing? I'd like the see a comparative chart of how well received these publications are tbhwyf

You mean 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson?
Haven't read him, but from what I've heard, his books are really groundbreaking in terms of psychoanalitics and analysis of Hegelianism and that his live talks are basically just him having a laugh.
Anyway 80% of book published are shit like cuisine recipes, shitty lifestyle advices or even minecraft/fortnite guide
>literacy
>has any connection to publishing books
what?
race to the bottom with amazon selfpublishing
No, but thanks for a cool looking book
We don't have hordes of mutts abroad who can buy our books.
