The Hoover Building. A large, airy Art Deco building in London. It's beautiful in person.

This is Mannheim castle/university. Not the prettiest castle, but it has exactly one more window than Versailles just to spite the French.

I'm in the American Birmingham and we have a few horrors but something about these is...I never imagined buildings got that ugly.
Pic is our "civic center," basically an events venue owned by the county government.
They're ugly? The buildings are well designed and were definitely of their time.
They do look a bit worn now, but they're definitely nice if you can appreciate the architecture that went into them.
Yeah, walking 7th towards central park. Even the ugly buildings in manhattan look neat against the background of a megacity.
