what you're not realizing is that the US can move its manufacturing inputs quite easily out of china, there's nothing special about chinese labor or manufacturing. the chinese can't domestically come up with competitive IP without taking it from the US nor find a market nearly as lucrative as the US market. no the african or eastern european market are not nearly comparable. business operations can easily shift out of china, that's what it means by china being more reliant on the US than the US on china. trade with china is a choice, and until china opens up their domestic market at the level the US allows, it's becoming less and less reasonable to continue the relationship when all china does is use their surplus to build up their military and bully its neighbors through debt traps
