I'd like to just abolish the green belt separating Liverpool and Manchester and fund infrastructure projects between the cities turning them into one massive metropolitan area that can counter balance London and be more focused on trade with the Americas than Europe.

I probably wouldnt want to live long-term in the UK, but at least you guys have some semblance of "history" and "culture." You can walk down to your nearest park and find some sort of ruined castle or church.

In the New World, everything is at most 400 years old, and the vast majority of it is under 200 years old. We have no entrenched identity or history the same way Old World countries do.
