Literally here, my father was a communist party member in the 70s and now larps as social liberal. Can confirm he was not the best parent but I was lucky to have my grandparents. He was not that bad though, my mother was far worst.
>grandpa #1 was in the iron guard
>grandpa #2 was in the communist party
My parents were/are apolitical. Growing up in that environment was nice in that regard, but as an adult I had a lot of figuring out to do, but I guess it meant I had the chance to come up with my own ideas rather than mirror what I saw growing up
It doesn't work this way, at least in my case. The more they pushed progressist bullshit on me when I didn't even know what it was about the more it's backfiring now, I'm the absoulte opposite to them.
My mother was a hard-core maoist, helped a lot of foreign students and illegals, my conclusion was that communists parents prefered the foreigners than their own children because of the goal of internationalism.
Similar happened with my grandparets. Half of them had more conservative religious families and in the others one great grandparent was in jail after the civil war and the other was exiled and regularly beaten by the police when he came back.
My mother wasn't involved in any political party but she was telling me I had to tolerate faggots before even knowing what sexuality or sex were.
>Jow Forumstards literally only hold their views to try and spite their parents
OH NO NO NO NO
My friends dad is an old commie and my friend had really slack upbringing, not sure if that was entirely for the best.
My parents never talked politcs in front of me.
That's why I am apolitical too.
Maybe so, I'm nor freud but I'm sure many of my childhood experiences with radical leftists marked me (ffs a teacher once scolded me half an hour because I didn't know what an african american was and I made a silly innocent joke about afro hair when I was 7 and living in fucking Spain).
My Great grandfather shot at commies
>being surprised to learn this
Like conservative girls will do retarded and dangerous shit because of a racist and control freak dad am I right?
I'm talking about real political action during your childhood.
Have you ever slept in the same room as a kid with two complets strangers ? Have you seen your mom beaten by violents reactionaries groups ? I don't think so burger.
>I had the chance to come up with my own ideas rather than mirror what I saw growing up
Do I sense an implication that this is a good thing?
It's quite the contrary, as a teenager I actually was some sort of radical progressist who didn't really care about politics but who was fully tolerant for fags, transgenders, mass immigration, radically anti-religious and whatever progressist thing comes to your mind. As I've been getting older and as problems started all over Europe I started to really think about it and draw my own conclusions. I've got still a long way to go before finding my path but at least now I think for myself for the first time.
>Have you ever slept in the same room as a kid with two complets strangers ? Have you seen your mom beaten by violents reactionaries groups ? I don't think so burger.
neither have you
>best girl is misato
this is right though
My parents have some political views but none are really shocking. I mean they are very tolerant towards gays and in general very anti-religion. Furthermore pretty socialist but that's because of the background of our families and region.
I was a edgy Jow Forumsack too until I turned 20 when I stopped really caring about politics altogether.
>Have you ever slept in the same room as a kid with two complets strangers ? Have you seen your mom beaten by violents reactionaries groups ? I don't think so burger.
Feels bad, in my case it wasn't so bad since they had already abandoned political activity when they had me. How do you think this affected you as a grown man?
My dad has really boomer tier moderate Republican views. My mom was always apolitical then became an evangelical Christian.
My parents don't hold any firm political viewpoint, and they are not followers of any party. They were amazing parents, and I love them.
I am a socialist.
Both parents H*lsinkian leftist academics. I couldn't stand them as a kid but get along with them much better nowadays.
Lmao. Granddad#1 held an official position in Vichy and didnt trust commie "resistance" that didnt do shit before Barbarossa, granddad#2 volunteered to go kill commies in Asia, my dad got in in the hope of killing commies.
I hate commies with a burning passion too.
My parents were one of those old style commies. They took trade unions seriously and unironically believed in revolution. They're still leftists but noting like those young city liberal leftists
My dad hates and values hard work
My dad hates gays and is overall pretty conservative
Did your family look a bit like this when you were young?
>granddad#2 volunteered to go kill commies in Asia
>I hate commies with a burning passion too.
How do I say "good lad" in French?
Bon gars.
At least they have a white kid
t. He never took the south American aeropostal to do some banter with locals fascists.
Why you live again ?
My parents are pretty much nazi's.
But they were hippies during the hippy age.
My uncle is exactly as you describe. I enjoy talking to him, unlike modern """"socialists"""" he listens and makes very good points. Only problem is he is getting old and a bit mad (but this probably runs in the family).
Im also pretty sure they want a race war.
Bit of a new direction innit
My dad always says he collected money for Africa, until they came and collect the money here themselves.
Got some problems in Venuzela when I was 12yo.
It was another time.
They don't get called manchildren for no reason.
What did your dad do when he realized his wife had brain cancer?
Lmao.
Both my parents are Catholic and hate commies, I think their values rubbing off on me is why I have such a hard time trying to fit in at college
My parents were apolitical but my uncle was a union leader and he was my main influence growing up. I am a socialist.
my parents aren't that culturated and I never fully believe what they say
They weren't born in the 70's, but they were communists. My mother named me after a somewhat well known communist
youtube.com
>thind of step dad you end up with, without the money neither the charm
what the fuck is this sentence
My parents were right wing catholics, thanks god.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH
