anime is gay and so is ireland
We're all cute girls here, how can we be gay?
I was reading the Treaty Debates and found this quote:
>When I went through Westmeath we never talked about theoretical Republics. We said we were out for getting Ireland into the hands of the Irish [hear, hear]. We stood where we did to get Ireland into the hands of the Irish. If the Mikado of Japan came over, it did not matter so long as Ireland belonged to the people of Ireland. The people of Westmeath do not care twopence about theoretical Republicanism, and neither do I. They had certain ideas in their minds, but they had one great idea; they want England out and Ireland in; that is their idea.
>tfw no japanese high king of ireland
Undeniable proof that anime is not Irish and anime fags are not in favour of a socialist republic
>a socialist republic
Ireland already had one famine.
>Mikado of Japan
Literal who. How many acres do they have?
>anime fags are not in favour of a socialist republic
wtf I love anime now
Fucking rude, user.
This.
>ywn be a samurai with a sliotar, serving as an honorable warrior for High Emperor-King Nobunaga O'Brien
What's a fun EU4 playthrough?
Cringe and bluepilled
Uninstall.exe and play Vicky instead you fucking steamcordplaza faggot
Been years since I played that now, but I remember Castile/Spain being really fun to play as.
I suppose it'd be fun for me to get back into that game too, I had some really comfy late night sessions playing it. The main problems are that there's so much DLC now and there's so much new content that I'd basically have to learn how to play it all over again.
but why get invested in vicky when vicky 3 is just around the corner?
>Castile/Spain being really fun to play as.
Thing is, I can never decide if I want to play as Mediterranean neo-crusading hegemon, or as ultimate colonialist. And I find when I do the first, I get cockblocked by French/English/French-English superalliance, and when I do the latter, by the Ottomans and/or France.
I'd like to avoid France, Spain, and Portugal if I can, but I've never seen the appeal of playing one of those non-European blobs that just sit there for two hundred years until the Europeans show up and destroy them.
Because Vicky 3 will have mana
Any one where you wreck others in MP.
>mp
Never done this. Barely have the patience to go against the AI.
How often do you bet on sports /éire/?
Never have, and don't intend to.
I don't support gambling. It should be banned and bookies should have their assets expropriated.
I don't watch sports, if I wanted to gamble I'd play poker.
Based
People've been saying this forever. It's not happening.
That's the joke.
It is happening, but it's going to be shit and have mana. What else would Chris King be working on?
I hear stuff like "oh, they rehired the guy that did the economy in v2!" and know they're too far gone.
I don't know the drama behind it.
I haven't even played Vicky 2 because it's so old at this stage.
>drama
Johan said recently all their games going forward are going to have mana, and claimed it was the 'best feature of Vicky 2' even though there is no mana in it.
>I haven't even played Vicky 2
Do yourself a favour and play it. EU4, CK2 and the rest will feel like Civ compared to it.
Why play Vicky when Johan's latest masterpiece Imperator will soon exist?
>We're all cute girls here
>how can we be gay?
It's easy when you known how.
Michael D said it's bad.
It might be good.
I fear if the battles are very abstracted it might be extremely boring.
For some reason I've always found it easier to invest myself in abstracted battles from later eras more. I can recall many a time a battle in CK2, EU and Vicky were the highlight of the playthrough, but somehow Paradox nowadays seem not to have much mojo when it comes to making battles feel rewarding. HOI4 is terrible for this, and while Stellaris can be cool, it's more typical for battles to be frustrating early game corvette spam against space stations, or else late-game clusterfucks where both sides throw the kitchen sink at each other.
I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I have always been a fan of women's hockey and I have been following the national team for years. The only reason I'm not in London right now is because I'm training my local team tonight. Bandwagoners begone.
Michael D also puts on a fake accent, you should know to disregard him
>Michael D also puts on a fake accent
Proofs?
It's posturing but gambling is bad and shouldn't be allowed without the proceeds going to the state.
>but gambling is bad and shouldn't be allowed without the proceeds going to the state.
If people want to gamble then let them. Also, we need less taxes, not more
>gambling is bad
No, it isn't. There is no logical way that you can argue that gambling is bad. If someone gambles and loses, that's their fault, they know that's a risk going in and it's all part of the game.
After watching a few of their games I think I've come to the realisation that field hockey is a better sport than soccer.
60 minutes is a much more palatable timeframe for a game, it has many short breaks between quarters which are ideal for bathroom breaks or making a cup of tea as opposed to an excessively long 15 minute gap, the appeal system and use of technology feels very fair and means the sport is free of refball and controversy and the shootout system in the event of a tie is far more tactical with the 8 second rule than soccer penalties which only permit a single action.
Won the last two matches through penalties, I think? Doesn't exactly sound like quality.
wtf is going on here?
>60 minutes is a much more palatable timeframe for a game, it has many short breaks between quarters which are ideal for bathroom breaks or making a cup of tea as opposed to an excessively long 15 minute gap
Are you actually implying that the sport should cater towards TV viewers ahead of actual fans in the ground? Also, build-up player is slower and the pitch is larger so to have 15 minutes of play before being interrupted would just disrupt the flow of the game. Literally American-tier suggestions
That's not gonna get you laid bud
I wasn't implying or suggesting anything, I was commenting that I found the format of hockey more enjoyable than soccer.
>being this new
>I've come to the realisation that field hockey is a better sport than soccer.
Most sports are.
How am I new?
I can't be arsed watching all of this. I'm guessing the gist is that some poor woman tried to steal food to feed herself only to get locked in the shop and the Gardaí called on her at which point she retaliated by messing up the place? Something annoys me when I see poor people resorting to such measures to feed themselves. I think it's along the same lines as watching a rat trying to stay alive, e.g when they claw their way into garden sheds for shelter. Just like a rat, when corned she turns viscous and it doesn't help her kid is a mutt too
>corned
>viscous
Whoops, seems I made some silly mistakes
Were you complaining in the aftermath of pic related that the perpetrators were being referred to as Scumbags?
No, they WERE scumbags so it's fair to call them so. Also, I found that incident funny more than annoying to be honest. I think it was because it was chaotic and ridiculous rather than just a case of a scumbag trying to not starve to death. It was opportunism rather than necessity

Any Irish myth fags about?
Was wondering where the evil dishonourable people go when they died in Irish myth. I know noble people went to Mag Mell and normal folk went to Donn's House and feasted there for eternity but the rest? I don't know. Other cultures have their Helheim, Hades etc.
Hades wasn't hell, it was where everyone who wasn't a noble hero was sent. It was later Christian writers that started equating Hades to a realm of suffering for sinners and James Woods as the devil.
Across the sea to Bhreatain, where their descendants schemed and plotted to return and destroy the glorious Celtic race...

Oh never knew that. But you understand what I'm trying to get at right?
I do but I'm not sure did we have an equivalent to a land of endless torture and suffering like the Christian Hell. I only have a passing knowledge in our ancient mythology though, there's usually a lad here who seems to know more about this stuff so he might show up later to help you.
Thanks, I'll listen to this tonight and it will put me straight to sleep
