They call it the last true wilderness of Europe. It's really quite beautiful. Lynx, moose, wolves, Swedes, Finns, Saamis and snow.
Have you ever been to Lapland?

nah but my aged grandmother went on a trip there
can't be that rough
It depends if you go high up in the mountains! It can be quite rough. Maybe your grandma is a tough old lady
why is the finn so happy in the picture ?
did the swede gib him some poking ?
she must not have met any saami
Maybe they took turns pulling the sled. They are frens perhaps?
Are there any Russian edits?
I lived 22 years there living there is boring as fuck especially if you're young man and settling down there with a family is nearly impossible due to gender imbalance.
That's why a lot of men have thai wifes etc
Nice place for a holiday, but a hell to live at
It's an honor to be of help to a Swede.
r*Ssians were the enemy, so of course not
yes
it's an awful place
Trips of truth
honestly these aren't funny if the finn is happy
German sadism. The Finn is happy to serve his master
He's happy it's finally winter for such an activity.
>Have you ever been to Lapland?
ne. what can I do up there besides binge drinking?
Dog sled.
can I be invited desu :)
yes :)
bingedrinking while on a dog sled
Yes there's one of Peter the great cucking the Swedes
>They call it the last true wilderness of Europe
Who does?
Anyway yes I have. I remember Finnish servants pulling my sleds and serving me (their Russian prince) quite fondly
Yea i have been, in finland, rovaniemi, felt like some post commie shithole where the sun never sets.
Have you ever heard about a news channel that only reports about good things? Or a joke that doesn't make fun of someone?
>Or a joke that doesn't make fun of someone?
Yes?
You fucking weirdo
I've seen it on TV
Which anime is this?
Isn't that where the Moomin live?
boku no pico
Isn't that where santa lives?
that actually sounds really cool.
>boku no pico
>8/4/2018
Are you stuck in 2009?
I was hoping to go in September because I'll be in Tampere anyway for a conference. Is it worth going at that time of year? Is there lots to do?
That sounds like everything I expected when I drove through there a few years back - I thought "yep, this looks like home".
Seems like a good area to have a cabin and hunt in, but little else. If the price of land there isn't too terrible, it seems like it could be done by most people without breaking the bank.
take drugs
yes, he lives in korvatunturi
No, he lives in the Swedish part of Lappland
False.
>Korvatunturi is best known as the home of Father Christmas (or Joulupukki in Finnish). According to Finnish Folklore, this land is the location of Father Christmas’ secret workshop, where toys, trinkets and gifts are made and eventually wrapped by gnomes. Known for their good-natured demeanour and their role as guardians of homes, these gnomes are also responsible for analysing weather patterns for the yearly gift-giving trip around the world.[2] People have also said that the ear-shaped structure of the fell allows Father Christmas to hear the wishes of every child on Earth.[4] In popular media, this legend has been adapted into the film Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale.
>For post to Father Christmas Korvatunturi has postal code 99999 Korvatunturi
>according to Finnish folklore
But according to ours, he lives in Swedish Lappland.
Swedish lapland rightful Finnish clay
But he still lives in Korvatunturi and spends his free time in Rovaniemi. You can't change my mind. I saw the real Santa claus with my own eyes
I have seen him too, so I know he lives here.
You saw a santa imposter
Yes, i was there when i was 10 or 11 i don't remember exactly. This was a trip with my class, we went to the finnish Santa (Yellow-Puki) village. We laughed at translate of their Santa's name to russian, it could translated as "Yellow Poop", btw. That was a good trip, short to say.
>muh breeding
Kill yourself, normalfag.
>finnish Santa (Yellow-Puki)
huh, does "Joulupukki" sound yellow-puki to you
Real Lapland is in Finland.
Yes, sorry. It's really so audible.
I live up here.
No, thanks god we have enough own shitholes.
>you will never see Scandinavia in your life
only thing worth seeing in scandinavia is norway
this. minnesota looks exactly like sweden and finland, so you don't have to travel too far
Denmark*
Theres nothing of value when it comes to architecture/history. It was historically mostly inhabited by samis who built nothing but huts.
People that go touristing in the north do it for the nature and animal fauna. Bears, wolves, lynx, moose, rein deer, arctic fox.
Watching the northern lights, going dog sledging, hunting, hiking in the the mountains.
Norwegian architecture is lackluster, they have the best nature by far though. Sweden and Denmark has the best cities/architecture.
But wolves primarily live in the central/south of Sweden nowadays. Northern Sweden is bear land.
santa lives at the magnetic north pole, in canada
Uh, excuse me söta bror?
Sweden has best scandi architecture. denmark is just like germany.
This is how it goes for normalfags who live in the north
>be born and raised in the north
>move south to study some bs
>get a gf/bf there
>get married
>have children
>buy a house from the north and move there to raise your children
Cycle continues
Only failures stay in those small towns and they're mostly men so yeah.
Russia freed the Finns.
>post commie shithole
It's your fault, you fucking nazis burned it to the ground. It had to be completely rebuild after WW2. Depressing city for sure and nothing is old enough to be interesting.
You know that its true. Yes there are beautiful buildings in norway, they are just way way way more numerous in Sweden and Denmark.
Fine, I'll give you that, but we do have some nice looking clay indeed
this, only Nordcucks disagree
Could we have finnanon recreate this event? K thx bye.
>hunting
are tourists allowed to hunt???
>Korva
>Kurwa
KURWA!
brreg.no
tl;dr: yes.
It's not very common, though. There's not a whole lot of impressive Norwegian hunting trophies you can take, but I have heard of one guy who runs a seal safari business that's moderately successful, with some foreign clientele.
I'd be happy with fishing in Lofoten...
that place looks really beautiful.
I've been there with my school. We fished some codfish and went to see some Viking places.
Also played football against the locals who were about the same age and they had a team. The Norwegian guys complimented me on my skills (I played football on a team). Very good memories, Norway is bro tier for me.
Lofoten is great for open sea fishing, type halibut, cod, ling, and monkfish. If you want real good eating, there's also turbot and wild salmon.
I have no idea about inland fishing, though.
I had no idea people in Norway and Finland played football. That's cool though. Sounds like you had a very nice time there.
Any places you recommend visiting in Norway other than Lofoten? I like history, war, vikings...
Won't be there for long though, only 1 week.
>Swedes, Finns, Saamis
Why would you leave out Norway? What has Norway ever done to you?
I'm sorry, I'm not very good with war and history other than little tidbits of trivia. For instance, did you know that one of the Gestapo bosses in Svolvær was such a nice guy that he hardly got any punishment after the war, and actually came back on vacation several times after having served his sentence?
>I had no idea people in Norway and Finland played football.
Everyone plays it. It's the most played sport in Finland but not the most popular in terms of viewership I guess.
Football is just so much cheaper sport than ice hockey. I actually checked, football has double the players ice hockey has.
>minnesota looks exactly like sweden and finland
Hey that's where I'm from. Used to work with a guy who visited Finland and he said the same thing, basically not even worth going.
Were Swedes worse rulers than Russians?
Hard to answer. Russians did more attrocities but autonomy etc. was nice.
Swedes just oppressed us in a more civil manner. That's my understanding of the situation.
