I been to yucatan about 10 years ago, the tip and coast of the peninusla is way to americanized or westernized that you feel like your in any other generic big city near the ocean.

The best things to do is going inland and seeing cool mayan ruins and exploring the jungle with a mayan guide. also of course enjoying the ocean and going diving is cool
