Why do american rednecks care more about being some dominant power in the world instead the american state providing good healthcare, good food, good home and good education for their citizens?
Serious, i donĀ“t want seeing Latin America become some superpower. I just want see my people having enough to live with dignity.
Why do american rednecks care more about being some dominant power in the world instead the american state providing...
americans are already brainwashed into believing 'we are #1' its fucking ridiculous. Now a lot of Americans believe all our problems are cus of Muslims/Mexicans/Chinese/fucking anyone besides the real problem ie us
its really frustrating. If you bring up the fact that America is lacking in many places, a really common response is 'if you dont like it, get out' its fucking retarded. blind patriotic nationalism is really ruining fucking everything up and has been for a while
pls get me visa brazil bro
What does Latin America have to do with your question? You dont have any of the things you mentioned.
>If you bring up the fact that America is lacking in many places, a really common response is 'if you dont like it, get out' its fucking retarded
I'll see your retardation and raise you one for that.
When I was living in Austin, Texas, I actually ended up going out in the countryside with my friends to hang out on one of their farms. I witnessed one of the neighbours pouring oil into a drainage ditch at the side of the road. When I asked what he was doing (because, you know, that's going to contaminate the water supply), he responded with "SHOWING THAT OBAMA ASSHOLE THAT HE CAN'T CONTROL US". To this day I still do not understand the confusion of logic that would lead to such an action.
Anyways what Brazilbro is advocating for is socialism, very similar to what we have in British Columbia, and it doesn't work. Most people are poor and we've become a playground for rich Chinese kids. Meanwhile in Alberta, which is full of evil, backward-thinking conservatives, people are in control of their own destiny and have a much higher quality of life than we do.
>pls get me visa brazil bro
while I agree with on some points. You seem really parenthetic. You can be patritoic and critical at the same time. No need for the self hate
Also most Americans don't believe that we are number 1
>a self hater seeking validation from a random flag on /int
what a cuck
I think it's regional. I live in a pretty bumpkin part of the country that is just ridiculous, if you have any criticisms against America it's the worst thing possible.
I wouldn't necessarily say it's self hate, there's a lot of thing I like about being American and grateful for things from America, but I'm just overall frustrated where a lot of people stand in America. A lot of the times I see Americans on TV or online and I just feel embarrassed
There's no compassion here
Ok I get you , here in new jersey things are different, being critical of america is very common in general especially in college.
For the last part , trust me not only Americans do crazy stuff in this world ; we are just super exposed to the world. For example I watch dutch and German tv and they too have super stupid reality tv
>good healthcare
>good food
>good home
>good education
YOU BEST TAKE THAT BACK YOU COMMIE SCUM
In all seriousness, they're politically scarred from the Cold War.
>Their ever so frail commitment so secularism was killed via the 'in god we trust' agenda
>their commitment to public wellbeing was raped in a ditch by Reagan
>their calm and calculating presidents were shot from a grassy knoll by a socialist with bending bullet powers, and definitely not the CIA
>their pragmatism to bipartisan ship came when a congress and senate full of adultering assholes morally condemned an adultering asshole, on the grounds that third base is indeed fourth base
>any attempt at changing background checks for guns is Barack Obama himself trying to bitchslap you into an arugula farm
>entire lifestyle is a stress induced habitat, with commutes being absurdly long, working rights being awful, takeaways and deliveries costing absurd amounts etc
>populace is politically illiterate, with the entire spectrum shifting to the right
>that's right, Barack Obama would be centre right in other countries
Who are you fooling? When Alberta went into a economic death spiral due to the previous conservative government mismanaging surpluses to so badly everyone started fleeing en made out of desperation.
If you visit Calgary or Edmonton even after this supposed "oil shock", it's painfully obvious that they are better off than we are. Alberta's GDP per capita is still higher than BC's by quite a wide margin. Either Alberta is fantastically productive despite an oil slump or BC is fantastically unproductive.
Because the American people are the cock slave of our elite.
>Why do american rednecks care more about being some dominant power in the world instead the american state providing good healthcare, good food, good home and good education for their citizens?
Because US hegemony ensures the continuation and survival of the state and its people as whole.
The complications to not having healthcare is a small number compared to when you have another power at your doorstep with guns, missile and bombs aimed at you.
cuck
because americans are classcucked to fuck from their mass media, so they'll take living in shittier conditions than other westerners because they believe 'one day they'll make it' and achieve the american dream, or they use the fact of military and economic power to cope, even though in reality they are just one of the proles and so see none of the material benefit it could bring, instead they fight for the scraps. But it's okay because 'we're great'
Because murka numbah one
If you don't like it, leave
> state providing
This isn't freedom
>providing good healthcare, good food, good home and good education for their citizens
That isn't why our government exists. You want socialism, and that just isn't part of the US. Sorry kiddo.
Despite being poor, Cuba has a healthcare system much better than Amurika
>americans are already brainwashed into believing 'we are #1' its fucking ridiculous
Almost nobody in America believes the "we are number 1" thing. The redneck patriots who supposedly have this attitude just elected a man whose slogan was "Make America Great Again", the obvious implication being that we're not great. And if you're not great then you're not #1. Then on the extreme left you have people who actively hate America and would be happy to see it cease to exist entirely.
American rednecks aren't usually very intelligent and they don't usually know very much. This makes them easy to manipulate and it makes them afraid of everything they don't understand, which is a lot. There's the Republican base.
Absolute delusions. I honestly feel bad for you.
US was legitimately #1 from the beginning of the 20th Century until the end of WWII.
Then the Cold War and all the foreign policy that followed fucked it all up.
Because anything resembling social well being is reflected on their eyes as communist (this is one of the fallacies that keep communism alive after it's many blunders)
America benefits from having an international military such as when:
- They used their military to help European countries like Germany recover economically - since they didn't need to budget for the military for decades
- They can use the withdrawal of forces as leverage in trade negotiations and diplomacy, such as with North korea, South Korea and again Germany
- They actually benefit from stable, growing countries that contribute to global trade to help fuel the US economy - for instance Serbia would have immediately retaken Kosovo and ignited another war if not for that presence
- It helps to prevent other rival world powers (China is already working on doing this with belt and road with much difficulty) from doing any of these things to the detriment of the USA
Strangely enough countries don't act irrationally with trillions of dollars of investment and there's actually a very good argument to say that even after the war on Iraq etc has happened that it's still a huge net gain for the USA economically.
literally this, but no need to be ableist.
Your implication is that we should cut military funding and spend that money on social programs. But we already spend more on healthcare and education per capita than most countries. We have extremely inefficient government institutions. For example, at my school in Los Angeles county, administrators outnumbered teachers; and that's not even counting janitorial, or lunch staff. That's not a unique situation.
one big reason that rural people don't like government involvement as much, is that, because they're so spread out, it costs the government a lot more to provide the same level of service. Many of them would rather keep their tax money, and fend for themselves. My rural relatives have their own water well and solar power generators. Of course they have guns, not just for hunting, but cause it takes the police 50 minutes to drive from the station to their house.
they also have a different attitude about the role of government. I was at a field near the town center with my rural relatives; and they saw a lot of garbage (from a county fair that had left). They said, "This is awful, we should do something about this." It made me remember when I was at the beach near Los Angeles with an old gf; we saw a bunch of garbage, and I think her exact words were, "this is gross, the city should clean it up". My rural relatives brought up the litter at the end of church, and organized a church group, and they went to clean up the garbage as community service. I don't know if the city of LA ever cleaned up the garbage at that beach or not.
I ain't reading all that shit nigga.
>americans are already brainwashed into believing 'we are #1' its fucking ridiculous. Now a lot of Americans believe all our problems are cus of Muslims/Mexicans/Chinese/fucking anyone besides the real problem ie us
Its true tho you have to nuke and genocide the chinks for us :^)
>Strangely enough countries don't act irrationally with trillions of dollars of investment and there's actually a very good argument to say that even after the war on Iraq etc has happened that it's still a huge net gain for the USA economically.
One thing is the military industry
Other completely different is the average and fucked redneck who support this shit even being a fucked trailer dweller on food stamps
TLDR: rural people don't like big government for practical reasons, and also their values of self-sufficiency, community service, and personal involvement with charity fit better with small government.
