It's probably not even that, just that she shirked building up a portfolio or getting internships (which is the prerequisite in meme degrees, college is just wide vacations for you to fit work into), and now no one will rightfully take a chance on her.

Here librarian is a study that you can actually take all the way to professor. Except by then it is called documentalist. My former employer had that degree. Multimillionaire.

Up to masters it is still called librarian but you will mostly look at databases, big data, organisations, etc. Or look after documents and laws for the state, state libraries with historical documents. Pays wel for a government job.

Bachelors comunication here is borderline meme degree. If you fail at all else, go for that one. Masters is a lot more useful. But if you can do that, go for marketing instead.

I agree most of these "arts" degrees are worthless, but if they are, why do they exist? Shouldn't these kids be taught in school about what trades are worth pursuing and which ones are a waste of time?
