I want to move to Russia. Haven't been there before. Not sure if I want to move to St. Petersburg or Moscow.
Anyone with anything to say about either of the cities? Greatly appreciated.
Also- I've been looking for rooms/flats but it's very hard to come by anything that looks decent... Can't even find facebook groups with more than 2k members about flats/ flat shares, it all seems a bit hard
Any tips for moving to Moscow/st. petersburg greatly appreciated.
[i'm not german by the way, I'm norwegian, just in germany atm]
>Why not just wait till it moves to you? Because I'm not optimistic enough to think it will happen anytime soon
Wyatt Cox
wow what an inept board this is. I'll be better off asking for help at /b/ or fucking /soc/
Angel Morgan
You should really learn russian, man
Dylan Kelly
Try making a thread in decent hours next time
Carter Jones
why do you want to move there?
Blake Garcia
Moscow is extremely expensive if you want to have decent life that you had in Norway/Germany St Petersburg is a good option but weather sucks. Also try Kazan, Gelendzik, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok
Ian Reed
> I want to move to Russia > Never been to Russia Bro are you retarded? It's completely different mentality , way of life with its ups and downs, before moving go chill there for a week in summer / autumn and week in winter. Only then think about it.
James Ward
bored and uninspired in current situation. I moved to Berlin for the same reasons two years ago. I like moving around and seeing new places, I find russia intriguing, especially now after reading some dostoevsky
Cooper Green
>I want to move to Russia Are you retarded?
Cameron Cook
Thanks a lot for this- I'm leaning towards st. petersburg
I will of course check it out first and foremost. Probably stay 10 days in a city, I just don't know which yet.

i did higher education in moscow technical institute and now i mostly work in russia so here are my tips:
learn russian, people dont speak english or use latin alphabet there is absolutely nothing st petes or moskva can offer you that w.euro city cant, you are better off in germany if you are into city life there is a saying (which is completely true) that these towns arent real russia, if you are into real russia you gotta be at least 100km away from these two cities, real russia is completely different
i work exclusively with computers but i made a friend there who introduced me to real russia and we had lots of fun living on his family farm when our jobs didnt force us into cities
In Moscow hardly any problems. St.P DN , anywhere else yeah you def gonna need Russian
Х для coмнeний
Well you should also think about what Russia do you want. Like some regions are quite different Russia compared to other regions.
Jose Sullivan
I see. I can't help you though, I've never been there. Good luck.
Adam Perez
Is every jap on this board braindead
Thanks, but I'm not really looking for 'high quality of life' closer to the contrary, I guess
Just interesting people, experiences etc. I'm writing a fucking book, and theres nothing worthwile left in berlin. I wanna go further east. I'm also considering Budapest or even somewhere in Czech, possibly prague thank you
Why would anyone want to move to Russia? It’s Europe’s biggest shithole. 25% muslims, most AIDS per capita in Europe, second most corrupt country in Europe, Putin destroying the country from the inside, crime ridden and so on. I get that you most likely don’t like turks, but come on, even Turkey is less of a shithole than Russia

> Doesn't have anything w. Europe has to offer Yeah except nicer people and REAL FUCKING FOOD where are my Kavkaz brothers with good shashlik and other stuff
There's nothing except Prague in Czech imo. Like you have Prague, then circle around it. And rest of country is just a village but I mean I'm Russian and my home region is bigger than whole republic so my pov is subjective. That being said it's a great place for creative people imo. Not so much for guys like me who are used to make friends in fights rather than with beer in a pub.
Stereotypes. I thought the same about Balkans until recently. Kavkaz is a safe place.
Eli Morales
Grozny is unironically the safest city in Russia.
Daniel Bennett
Can you read Cyrillic? It takes only about 2 hours and it is incredibly useful.
Daniel Turner
>not believing in boogeyman dont lose your head :^)
maybe, but ive heard stories that put isis or those mexican "los zetaz" drug cartel beheading stories to shame basically feral churkas still wage their lost war over there in some regions
what you really wanna do is see far east and the like, siberia is extremely warm during the summer and even with some bird sized mosquitos it has some of the best places if you are into that specific sort of living its my favorite but some people cant stand it
William Martinez
I want to move to germany
Jayden Adams
yes.
Gavin Jackson
I would advice you to reply decently to other’s posts rather with than with salty attacks There are 200.000 muslims in Norway, that’s 5% of the population. Now, how many million muslims are there in Russia? So it’s just fake news how Putin is giving billions in handouts to friends with government money? Around 2/3 of what is spent on big scale projects in Russia are given directly to the pockets of Putin’s friends. And what about the corrupt justice system that is ruled by Putin and his pals, just fake news as well?
Juan Foster
>Now, how many million muslims are there in Russia? You can't compare fucks who moved there 10 years ago and folks who living in their own place for thousands of years.
Luke Russell
As if it'd be my first time there...
> Muh handouts > Muh friends > Muh injustice > Muh invisible money Sorry can't be bothered playing Putin bingo today, even being abroad I have relatives in public sector and you fucks sound as retarded as "Trump Russia collision " clowns on other side of the ocean
Aaron Moore
Arny most migrants in germany other europeans unlike france and UK (the millions of volga germans from kazakh and russian are counted as migrants).
David Cook
> can't be bothered playing Putin bingo today Gotcha, bot
You have a great advantage then. Keep it up and I do suggest learning a sentence a day and if you have a native speaker to confirm then I would talk to them. Russian has different cases so depending on how you say something you could end up saying something like "I gave (water) to cabbage" or "Cabbage behaves as my boss" or even stranger you could end up saying something like "I walked to Australia" because "to go" is rather complicated.
Anthony Wilson
Vanya pls, hes gonna throw some random materials with no real traces at me, then he's gonna say everyone under Putin steals which is just not true if you actually care to check the system Putin is placing instead of what's left in previous century last 2 years or so. It's gonna come down to "you're just repeating propaganda points " from a man who has no fucking clue what's actually happening behind the curtains
Christopher Barnes
Checked. Keep hearing how fucked germany and how 25% of german public schools are non german but forget that its mostly other europeans especially germans from russia and the volga region. Arnt a lot of syrians going back home also
Hudson Thompson
Bashkirs and Tatars are considered as Muslims, but in reality... Well, they are not really. They are the same as the ethnic Russians in almost every aspect (expect that they are not orthodox), and really don't care about religion. They have the same mentality, language, and appearance. You probably won't ever notice a Tatar among the "true" Russians. So you just can't compare them to your average sandniggers raping and beheading your children.
It always bothers me even czech language that larps as a Slavic one has no depth compared to Russian where I love you Love you I You love I Have different meanings behind it
David Stewart
Yeah I have very Russian relatives with last name Rimmer living in Germany :-)
Christopher Lewis
I'd like to move to Russia too, because why not? I'm not "educated" though, trucking and construction are my areas. How fucked would I be in Russia?
>They have the same mentality, language, Nope. Different culture, language and religion. Tatars are high-tier tho
Grayson Flores
>I'll be learning russian there. Start learning now. (right now или бyдeт cлишкoм пoзднo)
James Allen
Yeah it's not as bad as France or the UK but it's still too many muslims. But even if shit gets out of hand we pretty much have a manual on how to deal with it
Juan Fisher
> with no real traces at me You just don't want to see it, shill. > actually happening behind the curtains You tell me, what kind of system Putin built?
Jayden Long
Nigga we even have a famous tv series about two trucking fellas. Btw seemed to me last month Russia is basically one big construction site really. I wish there was like 100m more people there. With trucking it's a bit harder imo cuz of conditions compared to Canada
Sebastian Lopez
>But even if shit gets out of hand we pretty much have a manual on how to deal with it Sauce? Never heard of this. I do think most of those turks need to be deported
Justin Ramirez
> You probably won't ever notice a Tatar among the "true" Russians. It just because in most cases these "true" Russian are russified tatars.
Brayden Campbell
I want to move to germany. I have ancestors from prussia that came to america in the 1800s.
Cameron Baker
They all speak fluent Russian. Their culture is slightly different but mentality is the same. They don't care about religion. They drink vodka and eat pork like an average Russian.
Caleb Hernandez
Is Arkhangelsk, Stavropol, Novosibirsk, or Tomsk Oblast nice? Tell me what they are like, Russians.
They'll just round them up and send them to treblinka. Tatar ethnicity is volga finn+slav(russian)+some pontid blood from bulgars. Tatar is a meme. Azeris were called tatars in the previous century.
Levi Morgan
"or be..." uhh I've been learning Russian for around a year, but because I haven't been working hard, it makes it difficult to remember vocabulary.
David Jenkins
I was making a joke Turks aren't really a problem, a lot of them are just weird as fuck. Our history is pretty complicated
Don't know shit about Arkhangelsk Tomsk and Novosibirsk are neighboring oblasts. Tomsk is comfy imperial town but Novosibirsk is a commie-style metropolis Stavropol is the only Kavkaz-situated province where russians are majority
Jeremiah Reyes
> Tatar ethnicity is volga finn+slav(russian)+some pontid blood from bulgars > slavs Here is yours (you)
Jordan Reed
Arnt most of the muslins in NRW and Berlin?
Isaiah Ramirez
>Novgorod Hue hue There are at least 10 cities that better than this town >sochi Meme
Brayden Sanders
> Facts you don't want to see And there's death camps for homosexuals in Grozny too, Vasya pls
> Putin built *Is building, you don't even fucking realize there was a whole training / studying system being built to prepare worthy people to replace cancer pool formed by 90s. You don't know that in some regions, like my home, person " from Putin team" came to power almost half a year ago, now they have major structure changes for control of whole region and they no longer have weekends in higher part of administration cuz Moscow never chills and neither can they. System Putin was building and which is currently starting to take place is the one that can ensure Russia will maintain it's state without strong leader holding everything by the balls himself. If he fails to complete it were gonna go through 1960 1970 1980 and 1990s again and then fuckheads like you are gonna cry how it was good under strong hand of Putin compared to what it is
David Watson
Yeah I've heard about how uncivilized Russian roads can be. Maybe I should look into English teaching? I have been to university and I'm not a retard, and I'd take the TESOL course. I know they don't make a ton of money but I am a minimalist and could survive as long I have a shitty apartment, food in the fridge, an internet connection, and beer on weekends.
Yeah roads are gonna be a problem for decades if not forever youtu.be/a4kQG_BvhYw
Teachers don't make much, my aunt is a teacher she got her own apartment from state few years ago cuz she has 2 kids to support. Can be worth a try tho idk unfortunately I was doing private school in Europe instead of Russia cuz I was thrown out of state underaged so not much experience there.
Easton Martin
>white >whites can't be a mutt Oh no.
Dominic Bailey
> north east european > slav Stupid ruskie, pls
Joshua Cooper
They are pretty much in every major city. Barely any of them outside of it except for a single kebab stand in every town.
Benjamin Ross
You sound like a fedora hipster.
Brayden Lee
> Novgorod and Sochi. Where are all these "russia experts" who know literally nothing about Russia recently came from? hmm...
I do think native germans should increase their birthrate. Is it expensive to have kids in Germany?
Sebastian Martinez
I think you can make good money with English teaching. I'm not sure though. But when I see how much money is worth to learn English with a native teacher, my jaw drops to the floor.
Oliver Robinson
я aмepикaнкa и я гoвopю пo-pyccки лyчшe чeм ты, хaхa, yх ты. wtf would you want to move there? visit, yeah. but to permanently settle? uh okay sure buddy.
Juan Walker
It's not hard if you're not a subhuman from volga region or a kubanoid from krasodyr. Russian means baltic finn+slav, you could argue that a pure Russian is like an estonian genetically since the state of RUS originated in Novgorod where Chud' and other Finnic tribes lived.
