Can your parents use the technology?

Dad is 54, knows how to use pcs but thibks he's IT pro and every year he breaks the shut out of the pc config

My mom, also 54, doesn't even know where the start button is, she somehow can use a smarthphone

7th grade me visiting dad (57 now) offices, he taught me some good grapik games i never played before (pic related)
But it was hard for me because of weird mouse aim control, so he taught me with his seemingly experienced aiming.
And that was my first fps experience. Yes my dad was played fps before me.

From what I saw here now all people under 65 use internet. They understood this would be stupid to live without it and they can do the basic stuff. The oldest who have only tv are doomed but they don't know.

We will be a generation of retired gamers and porn viewers if we live old.

Both parents ~60yo and Microsoft Word -tier users of the 90s. Bad at managing files or understanding the meaning of backup. Both hate Linux.

my dad is a boomer and he constantly torrents, he also edits together family photos in Photoshop to make it look like we're on a fighter plane or the moon and stuff, it's really charming

last month he gave me a USB with every classic western on it because I mentioned I wanted to watch Fistful of Dollars

my dad is 68 and never owned a phone in his life. when he retired a few years ago his business was still using typewriters and fax machines. once when i was a kid i made him play CS 1.6 and he had no idea what he was doing but somehow headshotted 3 people clicking randomly

Haha I was under the same impression as well. They just dont care about it at all and they tend to forget these kind of things pretty easily

My dad is only 43 but can't use a PC and has a old nokia as a phone

My 54 yo dad got me interested in tech and taught me most of the pc basics when I was a little kid and he definitely still knows some things much better than me like microsoft excel since he uses it at work a lot. He actually spends most of the time at his desktop working or playing world of war planes like a damm boomer.
My 50 yo mom also does all her work on pc and is skilled with adobe illustrator but not much else.
