Cameron Adams
To all my USO $14 5/11 call bros: when and for what are you selling?
I'm throwing out $1 this morning and hoping it fills.
Isaac Ortiz
Just 3 contracts, but excited to finally be back in the green if this goes right.
Damn fellow coinfags I went through the books and it turns out I made a -99.999% gain last year on my stocks, what an insane bull market!
Adrian Wood
I bought at $13.90 yesterday afternoon for .15 - couldn't pass it up. Just wish I bought more. Guessing it'll open around $14.40 (.40?)
Noah Brooks
I bought SOXL and SPXL end of yesterday. I'm feeling irrationally exuberant today.
New paradigm by Friday!
Colton Phillips
I’m 5/18-8/4
Parker Evans
To 8/17. Still early.
Brandon Evans
I honestly think /smg/ should create a coin and shill it to coinfags because they will literally buy anything. Then we exit scam them.
Gavin Hill
We could use coingen to make it. We just need a sick logo and name. How about we call it VIX? And the logo could be a red arrow facing down and to the right?
Carson Powell
I agree with that I bet it will dive on market open for a few though as some ppl get out more go in and we make gainzzz. That's my guess
Tyler Nelson
I went from July 20 to Aug 18. And one fomo in Jan 2019 just to see (theta makes a HUGE difference)
Jayden Stewart
Then mention it has something to do with screwing over "boomers" and it's game on kek.
Lincoln Wood
Need to open above 2685 for true bull Very short bias today!
Absolutely, yesterday I made 7% on day trades of LPI and MRO. I'm looking forward to another day of green.
Zachary Peterson
Then we can all go out screeching during AH "Why haven't you bought VIXcoin yet? You're not a brainlet boomer like Buffett or Gates, are you?"
Are those Japanese clouds that I see? Dank. I need to learn how to leverage this new meme.
Oliver Ward
Same menu for the past few weeks. Long oil, short bonds, short gold.
Angel Reyes
Convince me not to short TSLA
Lincoln Powell
Fingers crossed. Markets love the prospect of war, get a Uso call going too! And more dick charts I kekked so hard at work I had to show my normies coworkers
Matthew Ross
You can't short a meme. You underestimate how stupid and gullible Californians are.
Nathaniel Adams
Musk owns 20% of shares after buying more following the earnings call. Short interest is at 33%ish -- possibly the most shorted stock out there. If you're up for getting squeezed though, go for it. I'd personally wait for it to start popping from the squeeze first though if I were you -- like we're seeing with P and GPRO. I'm personally holding a few TSLA shares with the intent of profiting from a short squeeze.
Carson Stewart
"The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent."
Charles Russell
Cmc might be promising, scrap metal season is coming up what y'all think I might get a call on payday.
Connor Brown
To clarify I would not be shorting naked but rather buying puts
Jaxson Brown
get off your high horse, your stocks and options are as worthless as crypto
Michael Edwards
First
Joseph Perry
so long as youre good for total liquidation of one of those contracts (to big for my tastes or id be right behind ya), i say fuckin DOIT. if one contract isnt too much risk, just think of the reward if it DOES fall.
Bentley Robinson
Dumbest comment of the day, your altcoins will end up worthless and you will be broke.
Samuel Diaz
non-dividend paying stocks are greater fool just like crypto
Jack Adams
T. Pajeet
Colton Richardson
>your stocks and options are as worthless as crypto No. The US dollar is as worthless as crypto. Stocks are literally ownership of part of a company. This is why stocks pump so hard under hyperinflation -- they maintain their inherent value even as a country's base currency is intentionally depreciated.
Jordan Morgan
10 Year auction today boys!!! Will we see a surprise 3% coupon? Consensus is 2.75%, though I'm thinking we might see 3%.
Ethan Gonzalez
When I trade non-dividend stocks, I just buy something I'm really hyped up about with the hopes that I can sell it later to some one who's even more hyped than I am.
Lucas Reed
it IS incredible the amount of money that just goes POOF cause of those things. id argue long options are actually riskier than a lot of alts. but the reward is comparable. but options markets arent nearly as manipulated as most alts, even with the MMs taking dollars instead of cents
but i would say us options slingers are definitely the cryptokiddie bunch of /smg/. i can live with that
Blake Hughes
AMDA
Sebastian Taylor
oh shit, fed is shitposting today at 1pm est
Owen Davis
We're going to see 4% within the next year.
Christopher Scott
Prophet, I responded to ur question in last thread up top about my calls (2 job working poorfag) i fell asleep. I think natural gas after oil season for winter gainzzz and maybe ride the xmas shopping season via tech. Not sure though. Oil and ABX have saved me past few shitshows
Jose Reed
Call it Boomercoin since they call us Boomers all the fucking time, but honestly I think you could call it Scamcoin and they’d still buy it.
Jack Harris
>The US dollar is as worthless as crypto. Stocks I would argue crypto is even more worthless because you have to convert it to currency to even buy anything, unless you are buying drugs or children online.
Owen Garcia
Well thats definitely way safer, I think its just good to remember that Tesla has a cult following that allows it to maintain its ridiculous price
Jace Nguyen
No, that's the 10 year auction. Bostic is at 1:15
But is this the "magic" 3% threshold we haven't seen for almost a decade? I'll agree that a 4% coupon is entirely likely by July of next year.
Owen Price
rully?
what is it? a minutes release? or another meeting?
word do you have a good resource for seasonal plays? i want to add it to the library
Ryan Smith
Is it really this easy? We just trade oil up till the summer then switch over to nat gas for the inevitable build up over the cold months?
Thomas Torres
They would definitely buy boomercoin just for the irony.
Eli Thomas
OOOH FUCK i forgot i was shorting papa johns FUCK YAH
if we see 3% on the 10yr, thats gonna mean total destruction of the equities market again. remember last time?
Eli Martin
please describe the exact benifits your 'ownership of the company' gives you.
Joseph Garcia
Yeah buddy, let's hope for a Papa John's to tank today.
and yeah, i dont see how itll do anything but go down. still absolutely no PM volume. something tells me there will be a lot of market sell orders at the bell. the folks trying to use limits are gonna get trapped for an UGLY leg down
>Depends on what equities we are talking about and the time frame check the major indexes the last time the 10yr yield was above 3%. almost everything went straight down ALL day.
Jason Richardson
lmao im not doing that shit
I just trade purely based off TA on the daily charts, seems to work really well, nothing Trump does seems to make too big of a change like it can tank the equities markets seemingly every week
Jason Bailey
>nothing Trump does seems to make too big of a change like it can tank the equities markets seemingly every week i think we successfully LIQ'd all the idiots that were jumping on every trump tweet
Lincoln Butler
Isn’t crypto private companies though?
Jordan Bennett
I actually don't, I'm going off of intuition. I know it's insane. but after 2008 (I just started working career then) I vowed to never get rekt again and have watched market/ME ever since. So far 4/5 accuracy. My buddy at monrovia asks me about resource based stocks regularly.
Parker Gray
Yes that is John's greasy drunk ass. Yeah I was usually really drunk and bored AH when I used to so it. It usually ran me on average $250 in losses. I stopped doing that, but it was fun as hell because it's literally gambling.
Josiah Clark
smallcaps/microcaps not indexed into a big index. I remember 2 weeks ago man. It wasn't all bad; there were some advancing stocks, but not many.
Daniel Kelly
God, SNAP is such a shit company. I should just iron hands short it to death.
Christopher Hernandez
What a bunch of ugly mutts.
Samuel Bailey
I think there was a couple of anons talking about trading forex late last year. Sounded like they were making decent gains.
Angel Allen
commenting on irrelevant typos, then linking to a 200 year old book as an answer to a practical question regarding the contemporary state. classic boomer does it actually make a difference unless you hold a significant % of the shares?
James Lewis
I think so, trend has been gas rise for summer, then lowers during fall because ppl buy heating oil in bulk, they love to sell it in bulk because it's easier so they give us a break during winter. So my guess is they make most in summer then coast through so they can sell heating oil at "cheap" price. After past few winters ppl been crying about heating oil so they have an image problem now as well. (Joe4oil etc)
Carson Kelly
if i find a resource ill post here and upload it to the bunker. im interested in getting into more of these seasonal plays with long options. /CORN/ has worked out great thus far.
good point i forgot you were a smallcap guy
Josiah Cook
>classic boomer I knew it, coinfag confirmed. Go to one of your containment threads to circle jerk the newest pajeet scam.
Cameron Powell
Also scrap metal usually spikes up mid to late August so I'm gna look into that soon (used to scrap for living 8 yrs ago)
Gabriel Ward
> containment threads this thread is containment for stockers since this board was overrun by crypto, if you haven't noticed
Isaiah Bailey
i wonder if john is gonna be selling today too?
Colton Robinson
>scrap metal usually spikes up mid to late August so I'm gna look into that soon (used to scrap for living 8 yrs ago) kek i used to do that a while ago too, but the prices fucking collapsed near me
Aaron Ross
Yes it does
Jaxon Gomez
>Please explain to me why I would want to own a company Well I don't know user... Why would anybody want to own a literal money machine?
No really, if you buy all of a company's outstanding shares, you own the company. This is how buy-outs and hostile take-overs work. One company literally puchases 51% of the shares of another company. You can fire the CEO and install your own into the company -- yourself. Their profit is literally yours. You can put it all in your pocket -- this is called a dividend. You can do whatever you want with it. Fire any employee. Make the strategic calls about their products. Lay everybody off and take out enormous amounts of debt in their name. The company is literally yours in the exact same sense as a start-up that you personally founded on your own.
He got cucked out of his own seat in the company. For barking at a bunch of chimps in the NFL. I'm sure he's dumping.
Alexander Ortiz
hey guys, im the user with 600k€ invested in the market. I asked for some advice, as I was getting 3% / year and teh profit advised me to check about REIT's.
My bank has 39 index funds, 13 ETF's, and 69 stock options in the REIT sector.
Are these some of the stuff you guys were talking about?
>Janus Henderson Horizon Pan European Property Equities Fund A3 EUR >NN (L) European Real Estate - X Cap EUR >AXA World Funds - Framlington Europe Real Estate Securities E Capitalisation EUR >Parvest Real Estate Securities Europe N-Capitalisation
Didn't quite like the ETF's and stocks performance over the past few years.
Are these good options? Should I stick to index funds only?
Grayson Thomas
that's only true if you hold a significant % of the stock. if you're a small shrimp the fact you hold 0.0001% of the company has no practical implication
Jeremiah Phillips
You have 600k and you're coming here for advice? Congrats on the 600k by the way.
Try opening the book. Read the words inside. It explains some phenomena that happens even today. Like imports, exports, bonds, trading, cost of living in a city vs. the rural countryside... The underpinnings of trading, tariffs, monetary policy... Try reading it.
Unless you're a commie. I'm sure there's a helicopter nearby that'll give you a ride...
Jose Reyes
Good ill check it out haven't been to bunker yet but got the link. Corn should be good, I used to work on massive blueberry farm In maine, and the trends you were talking about are definetly correct, late July to mid_late August harvest. So subsidized that paying private farmers doesn't hurt the bottom line. I wish I could invest in that place, oxford frozen. (We did global market biggest supplier out there)
Jackson Long
Trying to teach a coinfags stocks is like trying to teach a fish calculus. Just ignore and move on.
John Phillips
well, I know that the banks I've invested the money in invest in the stock market, index funds, ETF's etc, but their fee is very high. A friend invested in REIT's through his bank and they are taking 4% in commision fees. Mine only takes 1%-2%, that's why I'm only getting like 3%-4% in returns.
Parker Roberts
Lol it was comfy 6 to 9 years ago holy shit the copper piles I sold.... good times, I bet well see new highs over next 3 to 5 yrs. Especially now that the 3rd world's expanding lol
Dylan Barnes
They made that book into a movie, you can watch it up on youtube.
Liam Stewart
Wait? What? Seriously? I just finished it in March.
Alexander Flores
hahah for the take an knee stuff? is that what made them lose the NFL partnership?
gotta say, on one hand i understand how some people saw it as disrespectful to take a knee during the anthem (people get butthurt about that kind of shit), but on the other hand, folks always get pissed off when blacks do ANYTHING to stand up (and usually, rightly so, as its usually a bunch pointless rioting and destroying their own neighborhoods). but the take a knee thing was so tame, by comparison. yet it caused an even LARGER reaction.
dat MLK was a smart fella. peaceful resistance ruffles SO many feathers. too bad the CIA fucking shot him
corn has its run from april to mid june, so im about ready to move on. i got a put or two hedged against my calls right now because i think it could pullback a little. if it does, you should get on
Jose Nelson
Why don't you try actually answering the question instead of writing that whole irrelevant speech.
Cooper Ward
>checks statute of limitations kek, i remember GUTTING this old abandoned hospital a couple towns over. made like 10k between a couple of us in a night. that shit is so fun. i honestly miss being a degenerate sometimes
Ryder Nguyen
That definitely led to them losing the NFL contract and now pizza hut took their place.
Ayden Young
Good Morning everyone. Thinking about shorting Papa John's. Anyone here have a price target for today? Thinking on doing a small position so I don't get Bogged.
