In Australia one of our big four banks named Commonwealth Bank pushes credit cards and personal loans every single time you walk in and it gets tiresome telling them no multiple times. My parents have over 100K in their account and are 60+ yet they still try and talk them into getting a credit card.

Debt is only bad when you don't think you're future is as bright as the present.
If you can pay off the future interest with gains you can make in the future, you should take on the debt.
To not take on debt when you think you can pay it off in the future is foolish.
