Spanish already has more native speakers.
>native speakers

>Estimates that include second language speakers vary greatly, from 470 million to more than 1 billion.
>Approximately 330 to 360 million people speak English as their first language.

But the provinces are god-tier
Fucking Americans killed those who spoke Spanish (mainly the local elites that were critical for Spain to rule the Phillipines). I hope you nuke America someday, Russia-chan.

>provinces are god tier
for trash?
It wasnt as wide spread as everyone think it was.
actually It was the Americans who tried to spread it but it was too late at the end
since our most relevent neighbors who are not commie tier at that time speaks English,Singapore, Hongkong, Malaysia,
not to mention the other Pasific Islands.
During the shithole Spanish/Mexican time we were directly controlled by corrupt Spic priest and Latin American generals that were afraid that if they taught us Spanish we would Join the other Spanish colonies revolution.
In the end it did but we came in late
our Spanish speakng educated elites funded our revolutions and independence.
>are there filipinos who are still 100% spanish?
what do you mean by that?
ethnically, and as in a meaningful percentage, not like 0.5% of the population. it was a spanish colony or something wasn't it unless i'm horribly mistaken.
We never had an influx of European and Mediterrenian settlers like the Americas had

Bright and friendly
For the Japanese, they are a bit noisy.
There are a lot of Japanese who have Philippine faces, so there is a little affinity
(Perhaps, I think there are Japanese who came from Philippines long ago)
Family-minded
Christian
Good English
Pretty much what this guy said but I think the reason it never really took off is because of the imposition of Tagalog as the "Filipino language", and the fact that unlike the Americas which is mostly a bunch of stone age tier cavemen and small civilizations that were depleted by disease, that and the large intermixing compared to that of the Philippines probably contributed to the spread of Spanish.
The Philippines islands already had a large population immune to Eurasian diseases and a well established connection outside the archipelago that prevented the Spanish language from seeping through.
>Imposition of Tagalog as the "Filipino language",
It never took off even before that
And Tagalog was the most wide spread local language of that time, they just made it official and a basis
Very friendly, a lot of them are gays tho.
