In your opinion how proud of your country's heritage should you be? Or should you not identify with any group and be your own person?

it's illogical to take pride - or shame - in something peple you didn't even know did hundreds of years ago

Of course you can be proud of things your family has done. When my dad got a raise at work I was proud of him. This is normal. It could extend to ancestors further back as well. Being proud of the sacrifices a great grandparent made in WWII is not mental illness at all.
Also, if you have lived a lifetime in a country, all your sweat, tears, blood, and energy, have been shed in that country, you worked hard to learn about it, and you are a functioning part of its society that pays taxes and helps improve that country to the best of your own ability then the story (past, present, & future) aren't "something you have not done yourself."

I can't Larp as a native because i'm not, i can't take credit for the native achievements because they weren't mexicans, i can't be proud of Mexican history because it's a tragic comedy. For me proud is absurd but i respect other's opinion on it.

You should be proud to come from a civilisation with accomplishments and proud to defend your people. Sacrifice for the whole is a necessary part of human experience, to push forward requires us to work together as part of a larger collective. It is only when everyone works in unity, in their social place in a structured hierarchy that society can function properly. Therefore it is vital to have pride in your ancestry and nation so that you can learn what made you strong or weak and learn and protect your people.

Personal opinions aside, a society that thinks in this way would be much stronger against a country of divided self interested individuals. Do you agree?

Why not extend this love and mutual cooperation to the whole human race then?

wrong. there is a reason people have feelings towards belonging to a specifig group. alone you get fugged, and people that didnt band together got fucked hard historically. and they still do. the biggest group you belong to has potentially the most power to protect you.
a nation state provides protection, thats is basic function, not welfare. a people without a state can be toyed with by anybody. bet it jews in the past or kurds now.
pride in your country, atleast in the abstract if not in your goverment, exists for logical reasons and performs an important role. even if it doesnt seem so on the level of the individual.

take the artifical countries of decolonised africa and the middle east. people have little concept of a nation state (with a few notable exceptions), they instead base their identity along tribal or religous groups.
thats why they are so prone to long and bloody civil wars.
