Anyone else farming crickets?

I want to believe

Oh,I heard it's risky bcs if you get a fungus infection, it wipes your stock.

Have fun watching them escape and crawl around your home infesting every orifice and reproducing until you are buried in crickets

Literally breeding cockroaches

this. crickets are literally impossible to contain. they will get in your closets and reee all night long

waxworms are the thinking mans insect farm

farming roaches is the easiest thing ever

Get plastic box
Buy a couple roaches
Close, with air holes but so they cant escape
Put a blanket over it/ put it in the closet
as long as its warm they will fucking breed like africans

literally x1000 in 3 months

It's 95% memes and 5% people actually doing this stuff. That's my best estimate anyway.

I can't imagine any pet stores who don't have their own cricket mills in the back. Every one I've ever worked at or been in had their own crickets, mealworms, brine shrimp, and rats/mice. Guppies too.

Thats a small part of the overall market. The cricket market is literally exploding with stupid hipsters and liberals that eat cricket products.

Well, if you want to profit off that insanity, go for it. I can't imagine it will last, it's a fad. But it's pretty cheap as an investment. But again, I wouldn't count on much income from pet stores, they tend to grow their own.

Wait I'm confused, how is eating crickets "stupid"? Being too much of a pussy to eat a bug doesn't make anyone who likes clean, efficient protein "stupid"
