not really, online shopping is stomping the dicks out of big chain stores but for the most part the more competitive, smaller places seem to do ok

Some shopping centres are low activity tho. People commute to work in towns and cities with more economic activity and do their shopping there often, so they end up living in towns where there isn't much going on.
