Long-Term Crypto

I see non-stop threads on here about daytrading and rapid trading, but nothing on those in it for the long run.

Does anyone else here not give a shit about hourly/daily/weekly market flux? Everything I've read says my safest bet is buying coin and letting them naturally accrue value until 2020-2022.

This is also a non/minimally-diversified portfolio thread

Post your current portfolio and hopes/projections for the next 2-4 years.

>1.12 ETH
>25,310 DOGE

Hoping to mine another 1-3 ETH over the next few years.

Hope:

ETH @ 5k USD or more by 2020
DOGE @ 0.5 USD or more by 2020

Bro, you just gotta invest in them T-notes, gnomesain

You realize DOGE is designed by nature to continuously increase the currency supply, right? It did start as a joke, what makes you think it will be $0.5 in a few years? I'm curious.

Yeah I just make the most promising trades to accumulate more BTC / ETH, I merely sell back to whatever is cheaper at the time. No desire to austicly smash buys and sells, a few big plays is enough and the natural increase of king and prince will do the rest

Why 50cents a coin? Because Ive read numerous reports it will be at $5 a coin by 2020, so i am making a very conservative estimation.

My buddy just did this today, said he would try just daytrading $17usd worth of eth in rapidly fluxing altcoins.

By the end of the day he lost 0.11 eth in bad trades and transaction fees.

The exchange fees alone make me want to trade as little as possible.

Unfortunately I owe city and state government money for past traffic violations. They already take my tax returns. The Dept of Treasury would no doubt seize some or all of my funds.

I just don't see that many solid opportunities, and they take more than a day to bear fruit anyway. 3 5x's and you're already doing serious business, you can spend months nailing down your bet instead of wasting time forcing meme lines

What in the fuck does any of that mean?

Bro just looked into tnotes... average of 2.3% return per year...
YIKES
I want to make more money than that.

Can you link these reports, I'd like to give you my opinion of them. And nearly every resource I've seen about crypto currencies seems similar to the .com bubble. So I'm generally weary of opinions I've seen.

Just that I spend a lot of time looking, but rarely commit, because it doesn't take many wins to make a lot of money in this market

I died

OMG and NANO are the only 2 long term holds currently for me. I really don't want to look at charts all day and want to other things.

savage

Lol, I did tons of ecstasy with beautiful strangers and I ended up going to one of the best Unis in the world with the first job starting in 6 figs.

Don't overdo it, it will definitely start to take it's toll. Worth it though. The best highs

I respect that dude, but when playing only for a target measurable in years there aren't going to be many actual news that change that target. Maybe you feel flooded by things you don't care about but it's natural that hourly/daily/weekly information appears with an hourly/daily/weekly frequency.

He means you should gamble on flipping shitcoins for some multipliers

Just seems like the risk factor goes up with frequency of trading. Feels more stable to let the coins vest.

bro the best long term investment you can make is learn swing trading. pick a couple of coins that you like and make maybe 1-2 trades a week. its fucking easy and you'll make way more money than just hodling like a dummy.

If you have a lot of time on your hands then you can make a lot of money trading, not day trading, just buying low and then selling high while being patient. But if you actually have a life then do it your way. All there is to it, you don't have to post another thread

Nothing against trying to be safe, but the safer you go, the more boring and the more lonelythings can get. Also risk is super tricky, a safety net on a cash saving account is there to manage risk but then they need topping to keep their real value. I wanted to get into that in more depth but I have to leave, be well fren.

Fortune favors men of action

Im a 34yr old single father and sole proprietor, I have no time and want to reduce risk while increasing financial security.

Yeah, but you know most people living that life style crash and burn.

i do it like once a year

Have you considered conventional investment strategies? I am only interested in crypto currencies because I am a young man with an engineering degree. I can take the risk to "gamble" with crypto.

You should look into The Vanguard Group, they are the first and premier index fund. My older sister, whose investment strategy is very conservative, mostly relies on Vanguard fund as her vehicle for retirement.

Can I get into investing and see serious returns within 5 years on minimal initial investment? Id really like to cash out in 5-8 years when my son becomes college age.

Invest slowly, not all your capital all at once

>1-3 over a span of years

is it really that hard for your brainlets to make 1k doing odd jobs or flipping on craigslist

How fucking poor are you dude?? I’d assume you’re from a shithole country but you talked about treasury and shit like you’re a burger. Listen, if you want to make money, you have to do that. The ‘want’ part. Treat the crypto game like it’s your ticket to financial success and it can be. You have shit mentality and probably had a weak father figure growing up.
