British towns have some of the most comfy architecture in the world

>Vicars' Close, in Wells, Somerset, England, is claimed to be the oldest purely residential street with original buildings surviving intact in Europe.
literally an ancient suburb

Nothing in the OP implies it doesn’t, retard

>Brits get to live in cozy stone houses with beautiful architecture everywhere
>I have to live in Alabama

A lot Britain's housing looks like pic related. We're barely a first world country, some would argue second world.

That's a step above the terraces near me, none have attics like that.

The loft conversions make them look worse. If the houses were restored to their original exteriors (wooden sash windows, slate roofs, etc.), they would be a million times better, even if they were smaller.

It doesn't take much to stop them from looking povvo-tier. Sash windows + an extra story + limestone render makes the average terrace into a million quid property

I’ve been all over the UK man. Trust me it looks 100x nicer than even the wealthy parts of America. Believe me.
My hometown probably has a higher median income than Monaco or Lichtenstein and it will never look as good as even a working-class British area.
You have statues and monuments from the pre-capitalism era, we have cracked asphalt, parking lots and highways.

>makes the average terrace into a million quid property
Also probably helps to not be in some post-industrial shithole but swings and roundabouts.

>we have cracked asphalt, parking lots and highways.
post pics
and I thought Alabama was more rural than urban

There's Saltaire which is a high-density planned town nucleated around mills/factories.

My suicidebox on the left.

It is.
I’m from a suburb of the largest city. People here collect vintage sportscars and stuff, or just new sportscars.
The thing is in America the wealth is hidden from public view, there is no fancy town center where you can walk around and marvel at everything. Just some brick buildings that vaguely look tudor and hold jewelry stores for housewives.
Mountain Brook, Alabama
I live in the central city now though

That's mine, but it's a fraction of a town rather than a "suburb".

Nothing like a commieblock...it’s built in 1851.
Still older and more traditional than 90% of the new world
