>In order to realize our goal of bringing blockchain technology to mass adoption we are constantly looking for real-life use cases to show the magic of blockchain. While participating in the re:publica conference in Berlin we decided to make use of æternity blockchain technology to do something very practical—give out free beer! >blog.aeternity.com/æpps-update-beginning-of-may-a351c9b66543
This unironically makes me more bullish on chainlink than ever. Imagine Sergey doing gimmicky beer giveaways with chainlink. Free beer on the blockchain! Fucking kek. And I guarantee this is what your average Rebbit crypto “investor” thinks is a good sign of a solid investment.
Aeternity aims to make a very user-friendly decentralized tech with their mobile app but the problem is no one will fucking use this for anything useful at all. Sergey is talking to the major players of business, finance, and law. He has his sights on the trillion dollar industries that power the world economy. Not doing stupid promotional bullshit that ultimately demonstrates how pointless the project is.
DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHT! ESPECIALLY COLLECTIVE POSITIVE THOUGHT!!
THIS SHIT IS GOING TO REACH $1,000 EASILY! HOLD THAT THOUGHT AND VISUALIZE IT IN YOUR MIND EVERYDAY AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE STARTING NOW AND IT WILL MANIFEST INTO REALITY. DO IT! I'M NOT JOKING!
VISUALIZE AS OFTEN AND AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE!

You are a MANIAC

I agree with you OP. It makes them look desperate. If they were confident in their product they wouldn't need to do things like this. It also makes me feel like the ChainLink team actually does have some partnerships behind closed doors and know that they don't need to do any marketing because they already have enough fishies on the line.
Daniel Howard
Sirs, I want crybob bier plz. ChinLank bier in cube glass plz sirs. Why ChinaLeg can not giv bier? Is bad project?
Logan Reed
dude... SO ARE YOU you are in every fucking thread saying the exact same shit
"the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result"
Jace Stewart
>000 so are fucking YOU
Evan Phillips
Why no rezpundng? CharmLike never giving free bears? Sum us like to having free bores!
I selling all ChinaLie. 0 EOY.
Nicholas Anderson
Yeah I get it you're pretending to be a pajeet funny stuff.
Thomas Campbell
I fcking ur assholes mother fucker
Camden Long
Right fucking THIS ! Fuck all coins that are aiming to do everything and all they doing is announcing announcements of announcements hyping the price up. Why would you hype your coin ? To fucking sell your dev holdings on pumps (yeah looking at you VEN and your fucking colakid)
Liam Morris
the only downside to link is the triple gravity attached to it. And by gravity; I mean these fucking 4chin larpers & sperglords.
If you think cartoons are sexy, please introduce yourself to the mexican cartel
Jason Lee
Exactly. Even if Aeternity manages to snag some oracle market share it will be devoured by Chainlink later down the road.
Samuel Turner
How many Facebook fagot niggers people you think are reading this thread?
Before that Jew alerted the fb normies about Facebook reading this threads was comfy. Now they feel infected knowing kike fb people are reading them
Oliver Anderson
To be fair, Aeternity has never been on one of those "Fuck chainlink," mischaracterize chainlink's technology, and then say they are better. They seem almost deferential to chainlink and say they can learn from their technique.
It's also not even really a competitor. Aeternity, beyond being an actual blockchain, does not have a decentralized oracle component natively like people here seem to think, instead something more like a centralized oracle.
That said, now seeing any crypto project engaging the "community" makes me cringe and I'd hate for chainlink to ever go down that road.
Hudson Russell
Yeah. I really don’t think anyone will use Aeternity for fucking anything. I tried to find any example of any developer wanting to build any dApp on their shitty platform but I can’t find anything lol. No financial institution is going to use their gay shit pink app, are they? If anyone actually finds anyone using Aeternity please post it here.
I think the same can be said for all other oracles. Who the fuck will use them? Some of them may get used a little bit but LINK will have the most important users. Sergey conducts his company like a professional business. Normal businesses don’t write blog posts and constantly announce bullshit, do they? I highly doubt that any serious financial/legal etc players would be interested in working with a hype crypto bubble meme project.
Yeah I wish we could burn the people who invest in coins cuz the the team engages muh community.
I would sooner associate with and shake the hands of pajeets that just shit in the street 14 seconds ago than to even have to look at these muh community soiboys.
Jeremiah Sanders
>That said, now seeing any crypto project engaging the "community" makes me cringe and I'd hate for chainlink to ever go down that road. I agree with you to an extent. Communicating with holders is not necessary at all and only really happens to pump the price. What else could it possibly achieve?
But communicating and getting a developer community going surrounding your open source project is very important. When I saw that the ETH core dev was hired to work on the chainlink code I really thought that we are gonna make it. Shows that devs are gonna take chainlink seriously as a technical project. I expect that Ropsten testnet will be formally announced when they’ve finished the faucet tasks on pivotal. They need to announce it to get attention of coderfags.
Caleb Morales
yea, desu the technology is important but the best thing chainlink has going for it is sergey, and nothing that I've seen can compete with that.
It's telling that people still talk about the oracle problem and people like Ari Paul say it'll be the biggest thing of 2018 (though he's revised that to be longer term) even though oracles already exist, like oraclize, and are being used, for example in Etheroll.
Dylan Hill

Jason Hill
Exactly, if centralised oracles were sufficient then smart contracts would already be widely adopted. Everyone is waiting for LINK.
Daniel Lewis
>Jow Forums should crowdfund a developer to contribute not to say that they need it, but it'd be a good way to positively contribute to shake off the bad reputation
Brandon Flores
Well Linkpool is basically a crowdfund for 3 full time developers isn’t it? They said they’d hire a third developer.
Kevin Martin
yea that kind of is too. I didn't know they hired a third. Jonny has stopped talking much in the slack channel and gitter, which makes me think there is another channel where community developers are talking to the team.
Hudson Roberts
>3 full time developers >passive node income God damn it
Gabriel Roberts
Plus not to mention, coins like link are aiming to be utilities, instead of securities.
Angel Thomas
Actually, that's an incredible market campaign aimed at normies. Aeternity and Chainlink have different targets. They market theirselves in different ways.
Christian Thompson
this is pasta newfag, some link shills just spam shit for fun. get lost to whatever board u came from
Ayden Bailey
They said they would in future. They haven’t hired anyone because the crowdsale isn’t finished yet.
Nolan Martin
>aimed at normies Yeah, aimed at making normies buy the token. Not use the platform for anything really. Because no one will fucking use it.
Oliver Bailey
This is the point. There's literally no reason for a legitimate project to aim their marketing efforts at token buyers other than just scammy shilling. For all I know this could be a tasteful event, but stuff like asking the rebbit community for input has no place in a serious project.
Levi Brown
I don’t understand how the CEOs of these projects can conduct themselves like this? Do they not stop and think that the way they’re marketing their meme token and posting on Rebbit is fucking stupid? Imagine a subreddit specifically catered towards people who are interested in or have invested in SWIFT or any other large institution. Wouldn’t happen. Only in crypto do meme coin holders get consulted on how to run them start up. The marketing is only necessary for the ICO stage.
Do you think these meme CEOs see Justin Sun and think, “wow. That’s how to run a start-up”? Why don’t they conduct themselves like a normal fucking start up or business???
Aiden Robinson

I think there's scammers of course, then there's people who genuinely feel bad for all the pajeets who think they are owed something. Not everyone has Sergey's fortitude to watch people who trusted them without ever engaging and not at least humor them a little.
Dominic Hill
plus undoubtedly there's an ego thing. Most of these people were nobody devlopers or business people who overnight became mini-celebrities everyone wants to talk to. All that attention must be incredibly tempting so it's no surprise so many go against their own best interest (and there are real, bad implications, like being seen as promoting their product as an invesment, i.e., a security, not to mention wasting time and energy arguing with people who literally don't matter at all to the success of the project).
John Adams
