I am managing my gf's portfolio with extreme care and it is gaining slowly and surely while mine is getting bogged on a daily basis.

I'm basically making contributions towards early retirement. I was putting in 1000 EUR monthly from mid 2017. Increasing it to 1250 p/m from this month on. I'll be using a 1000 from that to buy the 2 ETFs I'm holding and saving 250 in case of corrections/crash. That 250 per month should build up to a pretty significant 'crash fund'.

Also, I've noticed many people on this board (might include you) use pretty much 100% of their portfolio on options. That's a quick way to get poor. I did that in 2013-2014 and went from 1000 EUR to 2000 and back to 1000 in a few weeks or months. It's really hard once you trade options a lot to be patient and wait for good opportunities. I fell back to 1000 because I had all this capital and just wanted to trade something...

Anybody riding the I train right now? I bought it and then panick sold at around 3.50 now it’s at 13 and it looks like it’s going to keep climbing. Might be a fun investment on a stock that doesn’t seem to be effected by bad earning reports.

Also stupid question: Should I sell a call before the expiration date if it hasn’t reached the break even point and it doesn’t look like it will? Or do I automatically keep the profit when the option expires?
