I’m moving to the big island of Hawaii (it’s literally called the big island) pretty soon
What can Jow Forums tell me about Hawaii, specifically the big island/Hawaii county, besides the fact that they dislike whites and it has high cost of living? What can I really expect? And yes I’m white (blonde and green eyed white) Can’t wait to be a haole tbqh, fuck life on the mainland. If I’m gonna become a hated minority it might as well be in paradise
Also Hawaii has best flag NA I believe it’s the only flag with a Union Jack that the British DIDNT force. King Kamehameha designed and requested the flag himself, to honor the kingdom of Hawaii’s friendship with the UK

Why did you choose the big island exactly?
Christopher Ross
Because it’s the most rural, least populated. Vast rainforests, things like that. Most importantly less tourists.
Lincoln Lee
Islands are a great place to start family UsAnon. I know it from Hellas. Winters can be hard on islands, so teach yourself usefull stuff and don't drink too much.
Brandon Fisher
People on the big island have way more liberties than the others. I already have a place I’ll be staying, smack in the middle of a rainforest. It’s much harder to find that on the other islands for a decent price
I’m moving to Hawaii to disconnect from this modern lifestyle and live naturally, the big island is really the only island you can guarantee privacy without being rich as fuck
Wyatt Garcia
Also this. I’m not raising my kids on the mainland, that’s for damm sure What do you mean about the winters? Hawaii is warm year round. Tons of tourists during winter tho
Cameron Carter
Also, island life is by default more communal, something that has it's +'s and -'s. Don't underestimate sincerity and being ok with your co-islanders. You only have each other over there.
Hudson Morgan
Ok, fair enough. I say it from xp. I lived in the isle of Lesvos. Tbqh if I was not caught up in the crisis, I would have lived there permanentlly.
Joshua Roberts
Yeah the person I’m moving with is a family friend from the mainland, and he’s been there for years. He basically said what you just said, when you say aloha, you better mean it 100%, no fake greetings like the mainland Sounds refreshing.
Christopher Gutierrez
I envy you user. I wish you the best! If and when I become an adult again, I would like to move to an island again.
Tyler Clark
By mainland I mean the other 49 states. Hawaiians are weary of white foreigners because of our modern lifestyle on the mainland, something I don’t blame them for one bit. Outside of rural areas and small towns (only certain places, not all) the modern American lifestyle is completely fraudulent. Rotting away while pretending to be great. If I’m gonna do that, might as well be in my jungle shack
Isaac Brown
>besides the fact that they dislike whites and it has high cost of living? I feel that really can't be stressed enough, the hula niggers are cunts and everything is obscenely expensive. Because of the retarded prices on everything, most homes don't have air conditioning. Instead, all the walls are made almost entirely of jalousie windows which you're gonna keep open all the time unless it's raining. Since your house is unlikely to be on an isolated stretch of beach, it's like trying to sleep on your porch.
Also, the food isn't really that good.
Caleb White
Well, it is not the "contemporary" lifestyle that islanders are wear off. It is the madness and the excess and the paranoia.
Do keep in mind that island life can be crazy, since you will directlly influence each other much more directly.
But it is a brave choice. Bulding on your basics, not castles in the sand.
Carson Barnes
Thanks a lot m8. I don’t know why of all people I get this opportunity; a place to live and a good job right off the bat, in Hawaii. So many more people deserve this than me, but fate hands it to me. Either way, only a fool would pass this up! PS sorry for long response time, sold my PC so I’m using mobile
Zachary Morris
+ it is a simpler life.
I cannot stress enough how important the community is in an island.
Wether you make it or not, living in an island makes you look hard on what you really are instead of what you or others think you are.
Evan Allen
Have a blast malaka! Legit melancholia right now!
There are many many -'s living in islands, but you will learn the real meaning of freedom over there, the good side and the bad. :)
Michael Hill
Yeah I’ll literally be living in a shack in the the thick of a rainforest. I’ll have an AC wall unit. My friend has fruit trees all around, I won’t be spending anything on groceries. Gonna spend my free time bow hunting hogs, for food and cash Plus being from east Texas, Hawaii’s worst weather per year is considered a nice day in TX. Anything under 90 degrees I can sleep in
Cameron Myers
Do you have a profession?
Angel Sanders
I see. Yeah I heard if you try to rush anything or are too concerned with timeliness it can anger them And I understand about the community. Especially in a place where I’m seen as a pest (until I’m there long enough) I’ve been advised not to go out past 10pm as that’s when white people get attacked
Leo Butler
>Yeah I’ll literally be living in a shack in the the thick of a rainforest. I’ll have an AC wall unit. My friend has fruit trees all around, I won’t be spending anything on groceries. Gonna spend my free time bow hunting hogs, for food and cash
that's pretty much hitting the jackpot by island living standards
Oliver Thomas
If you play your cards right, it won't matter wether you are white, black, Athenian or Martian.
But you will learn what Patience really is over there.
Asher Sanchez
Wow, from what I've read in this thread, it seems that your life there will be very nice and comfy. I am quite envious of you. I am however curious whether hunting hogs will be enough to provide for food.. isn't there also a risk of killing off all the hogs?
Anthony Lewis
Nah I don’t, I’m going to be working on a farm (no required skills for this job) What sucks about the racist Hawaiians is the fact that most aren’t even “hula niggers”, but Japanese. The big island is 40% Japanese, 30% white and only 20% Pacific Islander Regardless of how I’m treated, I’ll always be respectful and understanding. If I were Hawaiian I wouldn’t want foreigners either, but without US infrastructure and interests it would have been taken by Japan. An even worse colonizer
Austin Long
>isn't there also a risk of killing off all the hogs? if only that were possible
>What sucks about the racist Hawaiians is the fact that most aren’t even “hula niggers”, but Japanese. The big island is 40% Japanese, 30% white and only 20% Pacific Islander Regardless, I was shocked by how rude the locals were. I'm not talking about random people on the street, I mean people whose fucking job is to be nice and polite to customers. Maybe there is something to be said for southern hospitality after all.
Aaron Morgan
I know. But when I saw going to be in a shack, it’s probably the size of your bedroom, so not all is perfection This is what I’ve been told. I’m a respectful and humble man, I think I’ll do fine with the natives I won’t be hunting the hogs solely for food. Mainly for sport, money, and only sometimes for food. And no these hogs the Germans brought over are foreign and considered pests because they uproot the ground and destroy environment. You can kill as many as you want, any time, all over the US. They’re also mean animals. Trust me you can’t whipe them out
Wyatt Powell
All islanders are a little bit racist. It is not about "racism" in an ideological context but an actual one, since it is only you in the island.
Be respectfull, but get respect as well. Aside from everything being relative, there is a core of xp that it is to be upheld no matter when or where. If somebody fucks with you, you have the duty to not let it fly!
>But when I saw going to be in a shack, it’s probably the size of your bedroom, so not all is perfection at least you have AC and don't have to worry about constantly getting woken up by passing diesel trucks or scooters struggling to climb a hill.
Camden Wilson
Never lived on the Big Island, but I was stationed in Hawaii for a few years. The thing about the racism you run into there is that it’s usually very open, but it can also be pretty easily overcome with time and being a decent human being.
Even the more racist Hawaiians will give you the chance to prove their prejudices wrong given enough time.
Ethan Gutierrez
I’ve been told it’s based on your demeanor and partially how you look. A shirtless tan guy with long hair may be assumed local while a guy with a clean cut blonde hair is the look that is stereotyped as typical mainlander. The guy has really stressed to me how important even your body language is, if you don’t appear local (right even the local whites hate foreigners)
Jacob Hughes
In Greece we do not call this "racism" but "Topisicism", probably "localism" in Eng.
Julian Price
I can understand why people living on isolated paradise would dislike foreigners. I also understand it isn’t just racism, but a person with dark hair, eyes, and a tan can blend in. Unfortunately, despite the fact I tan very well, I’ll always stand out amongst most locals because of my hair I’ll always be respectful, but as you said, if someone is just purely hateful I’ll ask them to explain the meaning of aloha. My friend said this will shut a real Hawaiian up immediately A bit bland
It is not racism but localism. Deep down, islands always need new blood. It is just harder to pass the "exams".
Michael Campbell
Yeah, even if I didn’t, I saw a window unit on Craigslist. AC or not I don’t mind the heat as long as it’s under 100degrees I can manage with an electric fan as I’ve done before And yeah thank god, I wouldn’t even go if I were to be in town. I was raised rurally but my family came to the big city for work, I can’t handle the lack of freedom. The police state Hawaii is racially very diverse so it’s probably much different.
Nicholas Allen
You’re right. Even the white locals don’t like non locals but instances of people getting jumped or murdered are 99% natives attacking a white person I’ve read up on the extremist natives views on all whites including local whites, the rhetoric is popular even though most people aren’t willing to actually assault you
Hunter Foster
Didn’t wanna make this thread about race, but it’s an unfortunate reality in Hawaii when you are a new immigrant, everyone I know who is white has stressed this. If you arrive some place and there’s 20 people and no whites, it’s best to steer clear and definitely after 10pm (when the drinking starts)
Landon Gray
Either way I can’t wait to be a haole First thing I’m buying is a crossbow and the longest bladed knife I can carry Handguns are totally banned I believe
Alexander Long
Forgot to specify I’m using bows so as to not attract unwanted legal or illegal attention*
Daniel Taylor
Mmmm, pretty sad tbqh. You must have a lot of people with id crisis in the USA, who do problems for no reason, ehh?
Jeremiah Morris
In Lesvos or Ikaria, the unwelcome new arrivals are the one's who don't drink with the others until 06.00 am.
