We sided with you during the Napoleonic wars, yes.
Since Sweden was on the winning side and we on the losing side, Sweden imagined that they had some sort of "claim" on Norway - the Danish king had been forced to release us following the treaty of Kiel.
After a short lived war we both decided that we didn't want to spill eachother's blood and we agreed to enter a personal union. We had control of everything except external relations, so Sweden-Norway was practically two equal countries.
