One of Colombia's most notorious commanders was directly trained by American "counter terrorism" training, a part of an operation to train criminals and ex-military in various South American countries, to help "bring democracy", as it was touted at the time.
When you hear Trump, et al., talking about that it is time for a military coup in Venezuela or what have you, it' code word for training terrorists to fight on the behalf of American corporations looking to gain further power and profits in the region.
