Hey so I'm a 6'1 handsome guy who made 1.5MM in crypto over the last year. I work a normal job and live a pretty hedonistic life style and don't really have many goals besides one day writing a novel that I care deeply about. Also my family is pretty wealthy so if shit hits the fan I'll just join the family business (I'm 28).
One of my best friends growing up graduated from Wharton and works like 100 hours/week and only makes 280k/year, he gets bonuses, but will probably cap out around making 500k/year but the difficulty of his job is already starting to take a toll on his health. Also he is 5'5. Idk, one day he just stopped growing while we all continued upwards.
I feel like certain graduate programs, particularly MBAs, are indoctrination factories that arm sociopathic people with the social tools they need to take advantage of people.
To get into a top tier MBA program you have to be full of shit, literally. I know 5 people who have gone to top 5 schools (stanford, harvard, etc) and they're all mega kiss asses and will say and do anything to get what they want. They're clearly bright people as well, but the core of their personality is dominated social climbing tendencies. The people who run these programs are well connected, and are also like what I described, so naturally it's a bit of a self-propagating machine.
