>finished HS and took a break to save up money before college >wagecuck in factory, doing a misreable physicaly demanding job 6x times 8 hours per week >always show up on time, do my 8 hour normative or even more >realize what a snowflake I was and what working hard really means, gain great life outlook due to this shitty job >7 months in, they figure out I'm not a total brainlet like 95% of people working there >higher position guy tells me they can teach me how to work on machines and keep them running and maintain the production >learn and do this job better than everyone, comfy interesting job, lot of free time, but time also goes by when you are fixing stuff and have to think how to fix them when problem occurs >get paid higher for less demanding comfy job lol
Now I can even go higher for promotions, every one likes me, because almost everyone is a complete brainlet, even the guys on highet positions, easy to impress and make them laugh.
Jesus christ you faggots, it's almost too easy if you aren't completely retarded.
I'm in a similar situation at my part time job. It made me realize that at least if worse comes to worse and I end up working some shitty job the rest of my life I'll do fine for myself.
Grayson Cox
Exactly same here. I went from wanting to kms in first two weeks, to getting used to it and realized I can laugh and start over again at any point of my life, if I somehow hit the low again and won't bitch abouy it. But doubt that would happen since I understand life a lot more now. This was insane reality check.
Jacob White
checked The majority of people are just really, really dumb. Like "Can't figure out how credit card interest is calculated and lose paychecks to interest" dumb. When I realized that, I stopped having empathy for poorfags.
Carter Fisher
Finally someone who doesn't live in their parents home living pay check to pay check creating a thread. You will never be able to convince the autistic neets here that that is how life works. All the retards on this board think they are geniuses and should be CEO but haven't worked a hard day in their life.
I did the same thing you did but took out a small student loan to gain some education for the resume.
I make 185k a year Canadian, have a wife and feel like life is great.
Evan Sanchez
I was just kind of shocked that people actually were over 40 and still doing this shit, some can't even add up 800 + 1400 and so on, some can't even calculate and went to special school. What was even more shocking is that these people have kids and own hauses/farms and somehow get by. Like holy fuck, these are the people economy works on.
Dominic Robinson
Those people aren't the ones society cares about or worries about. It's the young autistic 17-25 year old guys that think that life is simple because they can google information.
They don't understand how the real world works because they jerk off and read reddit for 5 hours a day at the minimum.
Parker Reed
Nah fuck that shit. Go to school user. Fucking walking the stage tomorrow and getting my BS in Computer Science
Andrew Fisher
I'm going to college, might even do both if possible. I'm just reflecting on this whole experience and to tell you faggots that real world isn't that harsh when you swallow up pride.
Gabriel Long
Gonna do EE or ME and have your company pay for IT op? I’m sure you think you know a lot about the field but you don’t, till you can weld, machine, program plcs and so on so forth you’re a brainlet
William Nelson
>welp my life is ez better guess ill be a condescending douche now
Backflip into traffic op
Sebastian Allen
I make $500,000 between my welding job in Canada and my shrimp farming side hustle.
Oliver Cook
Factory job...easy. Try dealing with “customers” or outside people. That shit is a fucking nightmare. I’d love to do physical labor or machinery that paid decent. Hell I would do it for 20k a year. Doing that and School would be godlike.
Joseph Diaz
union factory worker here
its nice knowing every friday i got a check waiting for me and a 401k to fall back on as i watch my crypto investments go up in flames :) while everyone else here commits suicide because they blew their student loans on Ambrosus and still live with mom and dad
Brandon Miller
He worked hard for what he has achieved. You stupid fucking neet.
That's hilarious, I own a welding company and know you are full of fucking shit
Noah Murphy
> thinking that working in a factory for the rest of your life is a good thing > not a brainlet
I went to college for computer science but dropped out when I realized a degree isn't totally necessary. Just diversify and learn a few different languages - Node.JS and Python are very hot right now. Learn some other technologies such as Dockery, and EVERYTHING you do on your Github
Joseph Collins
I'm going to college for comp sci and I went to ME based high school. So even though there was a lot of bullshit courses during mechanic courses and the tests were full of incredible abstract examples, I kind of did it.
Btw, I get a PTSD when I hear hydromechanics/fluid mechanics and Bernouli.
James Morris
everyone at your company just feel bad for you because youre a fat loser so they try to mak you feel smarter lol
I'm nor fat nor a loser. I think you are projecting your existance to be honest.
Carter Green
Wow back in the Habbo days fantastic do you want a cookie mate?
Engineers at my work don’t really apply that stuff, but I’m not in design. Production engineers are more like managers/integrators from my experience. Don’t think you will find much manufacturing requiring a P.E. Except maybe in design or R&D
Brody Sanchez
>didnt go to college >not a loser pick one retard
Christopher Murphy
Read my posts again, cleary you haven't them.
Hudson Ward
I don't know much about drawing and planning machinea out on computer, we didn't have any CAD lectures, but it can't be that hard to draw and plan machine out, if you got an idea I guess.
I want to write programs for machines and be in soft dev, also try out machine learning. These things I operate on have really simple GUI and code.
Benjamin Howard
you can’t even spell or use proper grammar. you’re unbelievable uneducated wow
Adam Cooper
Yeah I'm not falling for this retarded bait, just because I left out a word. Neither is English my main language. So go and be a trolling self depricating crypto NEET somewhere else.
Hudson Barnes
>uneducated neet detected
Dylan Phillips
machines run off a plc which uses ladder logic if that's what youre talking about. idk about machine learning I just know plc / robotics teaching type of programming is nothing like traditional software development. Just do whatever you want though I kind of want to leave manufacturing for software cause the pay but I'm not sure if I could wax my carrot on a computer all day coding.
You might know some stuff but the technical aspects have like unlimited information. Machining and Material science in general just have so much. I personally don't know how to weld but when I finish my degree I have the option between stick welding and industrial communication and my work uses a lot of computers and we don't have a welder so I'm good on welding. I work in automotive

Enjoying your first day on Jow Forums?

>Goodjob ronron, glad to see the Down Syndrome worker lease is doing well for you. >"Oh now ronron, remember, the rubberband goes on after its cleaned and bagged. Also did you remember to check for loose screws?" >Wow ronron! Youre so smart! Here, you can work with this "Machine" that screws the screws in for you, just hit this button and now you dont have to hand tighten it! Goodjob ronron, we're so glad you could fill the boxer position for us. >ronron, did you remember to sign out on the board so your supervisor know how long you were at the bathroom?
Factorycuck, never again.
Nolan Wood
>That's hilarious, I own a welding company and know you are full of fucking shit I'm talking about underwater welding oil pipes in Canada not welding your dick to your boyfriend's ass like you do, homo. I also make bank off raising mantis shrimp and selling them to local pets stores. I bet you don't even have a side hustle you lazy poorfag.
Noah Brooks
>be OP >be retard born to retarded poor parents >has to wagekek for the rest of his life
Kill yourself peasant
Asher Hernandez
>be 18 >finish HS >take year off, to save up and go to college >have to wagecuck, because I was raised by poor single mother, because my dad beat the living shit out of her in front of me when I was 9 >never had father or mother role, grow up on my own, no guidance or emotional bond with my parents >have to carry their burden as they fight in court and listen to their shit of who is right or wrong >try to stay focused on school and do good >get a job and realize what it means to work for money >get promoted to an interesting, easy comfy job with good pay to live on my own >still apply to comp sci college and learn programming/math on my own as soon as I finish with my work >no encouragement from anyone >write on Jow Forums to maybe encourage others to go and work and get some comfy job
T-t-thanks guys for shitting on me for struggling and putting my shit together, after already having a completely misreable childhood and no family love/parents-role to guide and encourage me.. , just longed another 100k on life I guess.
I wish you all happy and good life, no matter what you are going through.
Btw I just came home from night shift and my ID changed. Good night, wish you guys well.
Nathaniel Ward
shit nigga im proud of you learning coding myself even though I dont love it. Its the last place a nikka can become self made in these times. Carry on brah.
Isaac Parker
wow you’re a third worlder embarrasing
Landon Sullivan
Working at McDonald's, I learnt the average person is retarded. To be clear, I'm not talking about the workers, I'm talking about the average person who views that job as being for "stupid" people.
Working in the kitchen, on both sites (and I'm guessing this is the same for many takeout places), you need be able to not only make a variety of orders fast, but also monitor your food supplies to make sure you'll be able to continually meet the oncoming flow. Something I found incredibly difficult during extremely busy times. Also add in shift managers who are tough on you, and it can turn into quite an emotional strain.
You needed some level of physical fitness, and you needed to be able to communicate and remember what you're told, and work well in a team, or effectively on your own.
You also needed to remember how take apart and put back together many different items or pieces of stoveware/ cooking instruments.
Most people would not be able to perform these tasks well, because they can't do them in any setting well. The stock standard human is fucking stupid.
Nolan Morris
>my dad beat the living shit out of her in front of me when I was 9 Damn, she must've really messed up to deserve that.
Josiah Taylor
>Neither is English my main language. How's life in London?
John Martinez
No wait OP, come back. We all act this way cause we never have anything real to talk about so we all just shit talk eachother. If you are not larping then goodjob ronron!
Owen Thomas
Nah, he just came home drunk and snapped really hard. He had anger issues ever since I can remember and never cared about how others felt, when he is unleashing his unreasonable anger around.
Ethan Butler
Don't lie, he caught her posting nudes on /soc/.
Ayden Bell
Don’t get sucked into the wage trap >they promote me etc Is what I mean. Go to school. I knew plenty of guys with your same plan, not many actually followed through. Now they’re hitting the pay ceiling of their respective jobs. They can’t just quit and find something else because then they start at the bottom again and the top is no different. Meanwhile others are making double for much comfier work because they have degrees.
